A certain category is assigned to the vehicle driver only if he has undergone full professional training, received a special certificate, which reflects one or more categories:

  1. If the driver is assigned class 1, then he can drive vehicles of category B, C, D, E.
  2. If class 2 is assigned, you can drive vehicles of categories B, C, E, or only D.
  3. Class 3 corresponds to categories B and C, or only D.

In budgetary organizations, the premium for drivers for class is similar to similar accruals in other organizations. An irregular working day for car drivers is considered the time when the employer demands to go to work after the employee has worked the working hours.

This means that management is not required to compensate for it with money.

In accordance with article 119 of the Labor Code, the driver is only compensated for this by providing extraordinary paid leave.

Traveling work

By traveling work we mean working conditions that are different from normal. They are caused, as a rule, by the fact that the driver has to spend most of his working time on the road.

But, despite the fact that such work involves certain inconveniences, consisting in irregular working hours, unusual climate, overtime, labor legislation does not provide for mandatory additional payments to the driver for such working conditions.

Article 168.1. The Labor Code of the Russian Federation states that the employer is obliged to compensate the driver all his material costs associated with the purchase of fuel, payment of accommodation and meals. However, for work on weekends and holidays, at night, the authorities are not required to charge compensation.

The main nuance in the issue of calculating surcharges for a driver’s qualification is that classiness is not maintained if the driver changes his place of employment. However, it should be retained when management transfers the employee to work of a different nature at his discretion.

That is, if the driver of the 1st class terminates the employment agreement with one company and is employed in another organization, then his title will be invalid. To receive a discharge, an employee will have to pass certification again. But some managers are loyal and retain their rank for the new employee.
