Admission to a Polish university

- find a job without other permits;
- conduct business on an equal basis with citizens of Poland;
- receive social assistance;
- free access to state museums and architectural monuments;
- use public transport with a constant discount of 37% and so on.
The conditions on the basis of which you can get a Pole card include:
- at least one of the parents has a CP (otherwise, you will have to wait for adulthood);
- knowledge of Polish history and traditions;
- knowledge of the Polish language at least at a basic level;
- documentary evidence that relatives had (have) Polish citizenship, were born or resided in Poland;
- to declare belonging to this people in the presence of the Polish consul.
To obtain a Pole card, you must contact the Consulate of the Republic of Poland at the place of residence.
Admission with the Pole card through the consulate
You can enter a Polish university with a CP through the Polish Consulate or on your own. In the first case, it is necessary to contact the consulate at the place of registration in advance (approximately 5 months before the start of the semester). They will give a list of documents that must be submitted for passing the entrance exams. You will have to take exams in the city where there is a consulate, or in Poland.
There are usually three exams: two subjects for the chosen profession and an exam in the Polish language.Information on subjects that must be taken for admission to a particular faculty and to a specific university can be found on the official website of the institution or in the consulate itself.
After the results of the exams are made public, the fate of the applicant is decided by the commission. If the applicant for studying at a Polish university does not fully know the language, he will be sent to Zeruvka (to the university preparatory course), where he will be able to better learn the language, get acquainted with Polish culture and history. If the exam is passed perfectly (scored the acceptable number of points), then the person is sent immediately to the first course.
The only drawback of this method of filing documents is that universities do not always have time to draw up papers received through the consulate. So, sometimes the issuance of a student card or an offset is delayed. But after successfully passing the exams, the student can receive a scholarship from the first semester.
Admission to the university with a Pole card yourself
If the applicant decided to enter a higher educational institution without the help of the consulate of the Republic of Poland, then the first thing to do is decide on a university. On the official website of the educational institution you need to find a schedule for the deadlines for submitting an application and a registration page for exams. After registration, the system will offer the applicant to choose the level of study (master or bachelor), faculty, sometimes a specialty, and then send a notification about the subjects and terms of exams. In some cases, usually in private universities, passing exams is not required.
The next step is to transfer the registration fee to the university account. If the selection committee has decided to enroll an applicant, it is necessary to prepare and bring a package of documents. Lists of required papers are on the websites of institutes and universities. Typically required:
- application of the applicant;
- profile;
- international passport;
- school certificate;
- medical certificate;
- insurance policy;
- Photo;
- copy of visa or Pole card.
All papers must be translated into Polish and notarized.
The process of submitting documents without a pole card
If the future student does not have a card, then Polish universities provide paid tuition to foreign citizens. It is conducted in English or Polish. Moreover, the payment at the faculties with the English language of instruction is almost two times higher than when studying in Polish.
The process of entering a Polish university involves the preparation of documents and obtaining a "student" visa. Entrance exams are not required in all cases. For example, many private universities enroll applicants only on the basis of the average mark of the certificate.
To obtain a visa you must present documents on admission to a Polish university. Enrollment in this case occurs through the electronic system of the institution. You can fill out an application form online and submit an application. You will also need a residence permit in a foreign country (this may be an apartment or room rental agreement, a hostel). When applying for a visa for the first time, a residence permit is not required, but the student is required to register at the place of residence during the first month of his stay in Poland.
A prerequisite for obtaining a visa is the confirmation of a sufficient amount of finance to support the student, i.e. a bank statement. Since education is paid, the Polish authorities allow students to earn extra money, so that in the future (with the continuation of the visa) it will be possible to present a certificate of employment.
