Vardanyan Ruben Karlenovich was born in Yerevan in 1968. In 1992 he graduated from the University named after M.V. Lomonosov in Moscow. Passed programs and courses of several reputable educational institutions. Among them are Stanford and Yale universities, Harvard Business School, French INSEAD.

In 2008, Ruben Vardanyan, whose fortune is currently estimated at $ 950 million, founded the Tatev Revival project. As donors, it included 140 people from around the world. Vardanyan is also one of the founders of the IDeA charity foundation. The organization supports long-term development projects of Armenia. The businessman also made a huge contribution to the restoration of the Georgian church of Surb Gevorg. All work is being done with donations from Ruben Vardanyan, Sergey Sarkisov, Albert Avdolyan and others.

Its founders were three people: Ruben Vardanyan, Nubar Afeyan (American venture investor and philanthropist) and Vartan Gregorian (head of Carnegie Corporation).The initiative of the project is aimed at thanking a whole century later those who helped the Armenians survive in that difficult time, and also tell the stories of the surviving people and their saviors, paying tribute to the power of the human spirit.
