Headings

The girl is criticized for her non-female profession. But she proved herself strong enough for such a job.

No matter how many people around say that the courtyard is the 21st century, which means it’s time to get rid of many prejudices, which, due to time, have already become bankrupt, they still exist. A huge number of stereotypes live firmly in each of us. It’s just that some react calmly to them, while others loudly and persistently condemn those who destroy them. For example, a girl who decided to become a firefighter.

The beginning of a difficult path

Presley Pritchard - a girl who has chosen the difficult and dangerous profession of a firefighter, is able to carry adult women and men from burning buildings. She achieved such results by training hard in the gym, where she lifts a weight of 137 kilograms. Today, she shares her story on social networks, hoping to inspire other girls who want to become members of the firefighter team.

Presley began her career as a firefighter when she was 16 years old. However, at 18 she became pregnant, but still wanted to finish her studies. A year later, the girl received a paramedic diploma. Presley said that the birth came right during the next shift, and a few days later she again continued her studies. Two weeks later, the girl graduated, despite her newborn daughter Payton.

Pregnancy did not violate Presley's plans, but affected her figure, as she had lost some of her muscles. The girl explained this by the fact that the pregnancy was not easy and she had to spend a lot of time in bed.

Overcome obstacles

Presley was very thin, even though she gained weight during pregnancy. But part of this weight was the baby himself, so she still had a lot to work on herself.

When she was just starting to work, she was fragile and rather weak. However, there was an advantage - the girl was engaged in running, which is why she had a well-developed cardiovascular system. Workloads were hard, but Presley didn’t want to face her colleagues in the mud. She did not want to be considered weak and refused to work together with her.

But the girl was faced with a considerable number of prejudices, because many of her colleagues sincerely did not understand what she was doing in the firefighter team. At first, she was perceived only as a miniature and pretty girl who came to the team in the hope of using the increased attention of men. Or they simply considered her an ardent feminist who decided to fight another stereotype. Another version was that she was not quite normal and was just looking for a thrill.

Being a paramedic in a team of firefighters, while being a fragile girl and doing men's work, she decided to change something.

Skepticism of others

Many people do not believe when they find out that a girl works as a firefighter. Presley reacts with humor: “What do you think, what am I doing? Just went to the depot and took pictures in uniform? ”

The girl began to actively train in the gym and soon gained a good shape. She became a fireman in spite of her detractors, and also acquired a beautiful figure and became stronger.

However, skepticism and oblique views have still not disappeared. But according to the girl, the best proof of the wrongness of others is saving the lives of those who do not believe that a fragile woman is able to pull someone out of the fire.

Even at school, Presley liked football, but since she was a girl, she was chosen last.

Colleagues respect

Now that the girl has come a long way, she would no doubt be chosen first. She was able to prove to her colleagues that she was not inferior to them in professionalism and strength. Now that she is no longer taken lightly, Presley, a firefighter and young mother, shares her photos on social networks. So she seeks to show other women that they can handle any changes and achieve the most ambitious goals.

Presley receives a lot of messages from other girls who are young and good-looking, but most often they are sure that such changes are beyond their power. Photo fire collects a considerable number of likes.

She often hears women's questions: “How do I get stronger? How to gain respect at work? How to fit into the team? ”

Presley is trying to answer them, give the girls the advice she herself needed. There are not many women in the fire department, but the girl hopes that her example will inspire others and show that everything is possible. She seeks to make posts positive, to show that a good figure is not only thinness and a beautiful press. It is important to have good muscle mass and normal forms, and not to scoff at yourself.
