Successful 6-year-old youtuber girl from Korea bought a 5-story building for $ 8 million

More recently, a six-year-old YouTube girl from South Korea made headlines after buying a five-story building in one of Seoul’s richest neighborhoods. Boram, which plays major roles in videos posted on two YouTube channels - Boram Tube Vlog and Boram Tube ToysReview - has a total audience of about 32 million subscribers. This nuance makes her one of the most famous YouTube users in the country. Read more about buying Boram in the article.

Acquisition

A local business newspaper, Maeil, reported that the Boram Family (Boram’s parent company) purchased a five-story building in Cheongdam-dong (Cannes) for a huge price of 9.5 billion won ($ 8.02 million).

According to the publication, a certified copy of the real estate register indicates that the family bought the building, whose area is 258.3 m², on April 3, 2019, having received it in sole ownership.

Profit Boram

Boram only started posting videos last year and now has over 10 billion views on both channels, according to the Social Blade analytic site.

Boram Tube Vlog’s monthly revenue is estimated at $ 3.6 million (up to $ 42.7 million per year), while Boram Tube ToysReview’s channel earns $ 779,700 a month (up to $ 9.4 million per year) )

Content

On the Boram Tube Vlog channel, mostly fragments of the daily life of a six-year-old child are presented, including fun trials, dressing up, cooking, a lot of games and dishes.

The Boram Tube ToysReview channel has completely identical content, although with a large number of reviews of various toys that were laid out in the first couple of months after its creation. In general, all videos featuring Boram are bright, colorful and display various situations.

Accusations

News of the expensive family acquisition has revived past allegations of child abuse against Boram’s parents.

In September 2017, a local branch of Save the Children filed charges against a guardian of a YouTube girl named Boram, claiming that they made financial gains by allowing children to take actions that could lead to their mental breakdown and distributing the footage materials among the population. “Watching these videos negatively impacted minors,” said the Korea Herald.

Videos that revived past accusations have since become private. They show how Boram steals money from his father’s wallet, breaks his favorite doll and pretends to give birth.

The Seoul District Court upheld the requirements of the charitable organization and ordered the protection of a six-year-old YouTube girl named Boram.
