Constant updates and additions are an integral part of any developing game. They are needed to fix problems, bugs, change some parameters of the game. Updates prove to the players that the game is constantly evolving, not standing still. With the release of a new patch, add-on or update, a significant increase in gamers is observed, so timely updates keep players. In return, they get fresh content, fixing bugs, flaws, and in general, playing becomes more interesting and more enjoyable.

For such a project, which collects huge fan sites in cyber tournaments, as well as having an extensive, almost twenty-year history, high-quality and constant updates are required. Due to additions, patches and product redesigns, the game was very popular both in the early 2000s and now, at a time when e-sports has reached a new level. Valve releases at least one update per month. It happens that immediately after the update, another update follows, which corrects the errors of the previous one.
What's new?
A little over a year ago, the COP update was released - March 17, 2017. It was introduced a day after the release of the important one dated March 16, 2017, in which many flaws were reconstructed during the game, and a new case was added - Spectrum Case.
But the main event in the new product on March 16, 17 CS was the introduction of a new card - Canals. A day later, when the players first tried to play on the map, Valve took into account the comments of the players. She released a new update to the COP (03/17/17), which mainly contained a newly made map. So, we will analyze in more detail the latest update.
Change on maps
You should start right away with the new Canals map, as the list of fixes and fixes is quite large. On any new card there are flaws that need to be fixed immediately, otherwise the card will simply lose its popularity and run the risk of retiring from the tray.
- Correction of nedraw textures (nodraw) on spawn CT - team.
- A bug was fixed in which the bomb stuck in some parts of the map.
- Initially, when a new map was released, the developers tried to remove as much as possible the places that allowed players to get into textures and difficult places, however, players still found ways to get "where they shouldn't." In this update, these places were fixed and the possibility of getting into them was removed.
- In DM mode (death - match), they fixed the spawn inside the tunnel on the map.
- Fixed a bug when installing a bomb at point B - now players can install a bomb on the windowsill.
- Fixed collisions of players on the back of point B.
On the Nuke map, on March 16, 1717, a number of problems were deleted - changing point A, removed three blue boxes from the map, reduced the explosion radius of Plant A to 400 units, and other errors. In the update of the COP GO 03.17.17, the redesign of the map area was affected.
On the ramp (the slide that connects the level A and B of the plant), the textures were fixed and updated. Assault card has also undergone some changes. The developers decided to slightly modify the map and fix minor bugs. Valve also improved lighting and shader processing. Added support for new features of the latter.
System and configuration
In a previous update, the developers added a feature that allowed you to track the purchase of your team. Valve decided not to stop there and added a new bind in the update of the COP 03/17/17.
- mp_logdetail 3 - a new bind that allows you to track the availability of equipment and weapons from the enemy team when they left the purchase area. Many players began to resent, as this introduced a certain imbalance into the game. That is, it was possible to track which round (standard or economic) your opponents are playing.
- The developers decided to add information about the server’s log, as well as information about the so-called “blind players”.
