Officers and soldiers, whose term of military service varies from 10 to 15 years, are entitled to receive a 20% increase in salary. What changes await pensioners in 2018
In the fall of 2017, the press reported that law enforcement agencies are actively developing a project to increase the length of service of servicemen to 25 years. As of April 1, 2018, the law was not adopted by the Government of the Russian Federation, since it needs additional refinement, possible after consultation with a large number of specialists.
It is planned that this change will not affect existing soldiers and officers, so they will be able to retire after service after 20 years of service. Previously, a similar bill has already been put forward for consideration. According to him, it was planned to increase the minimum period of stay in the army to 30 years, but he was sent for serious processing by the President of the Russian Federation V.V. Putin. Representatives of social departments of the government believe that by reforming the system of early care for well-deserved rest, it will be possible to adjust the increase in the total retirement age throughout the country.
According to the new bill on increasing the length of service of military personnel, an increase of 65% is expected for 25 years of service in the army, with each subsequent year it will increase by 3%. Its maximum size will be 95% of the total amount of the allocated allowance. The principles of dismissal do not change. The initiators of the project believe that this is not necessary.
Preferential grounds will not affect the calculation of the length of service pension. A soldier with 20 years of experience will also receive 50% of his allowance. For each additional 12 months, the amount will increase by 3%, its maximum amount will be 95% of the funds paid to the officer or soldier on the staffing table.
Due to the increase in the length of service of the military, additional expenses will have to be budgeted. It is about 11 billion rubles. This bill will affect not only the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, but also the fire service, the bodies of the penal system, internal affairs, as well as the services that control the trafficking of substances prohibited in the country.
Will it be possible to receive two pensions at once
Existing legislation allows you to refuse pension for seniority to military personnel who choose to prefer regular labor contributions. But the legislature, whose responsibility is to protect the social rights of Russians, has provided an opportunity for former army employees to receive two pensions - old age and length of service.
This is only possible subject to a large number of conditions. Firstly, after the end of military service, a soldier or officer should remain in the army under a contract and continue to carry out tasks to protect his country.
