Homeless man became a famous guide and shows tourists St. Petersburg

How did the homeless from the city of St. Petersburg become the most popular and sought-after tour guide of his city? The man became homeless after his mother drove him out of the house. Realtors-deceivers, who took the last corner, also made their contribution. But even this did not stop Vyacheslav Rasner, who is known in St. Petersburg as a grandfather with a badge, on which the "guide" is proudly written.

Vyacheslav can still sometimes ask for alms, despite the fact that he already has a decent job and the house in which he lives. According to him, old habits are difficult to eradicate.

A day in the life of a homeless man

The day of 68-year-old Vyacheslav Rasner begins at four in the morning. Having gathered slowly, he keeps his way to the Gorkovskaya metro station, where the local saleswomen have long known the guide. They feed him sandwiches and pour hot tea. He pays for everything at a discount, as "for his own."

The next stop of Vyacheslav is the Admiralteyskaya metro station, where he patiently waits for the arrival of tourists, standing silently under a pillar. Sometimes they wait until nine in the morning; moreover, they have to work in any weather.

He prepared an incredibly fascinating tour called "Home after Home" for the guests of St. Petersburg, and the only thing that seemed to be why he had to worry about was money: if only they wouldn’t throw it ...

The unfortunate fate of Vyacheslav Romanovich

According to Rasner, you won’t immediately say that he is a tramp. In appearance, he is no different from an ordinary pensioner: the same shriveled face, plunged into a gray beard, inconspicuous clothes.

Vyacheslav considers himself homeless since 1975. It was then that the mother, having written him out of the apartment, sent the poor man to live in a communal apartment. And in 2007, a former biology and geography teacher had the imprudence of contacting black realtors. Without understanding, he signed some documents and was deprived of his only corner. Here came really hard times. Winter was incredibly cold, had to spend the night right on the streets.

Once the guide was lucky enough to get to a frozen construction site, where he warmed up all winter at night, and in order not to simply starve to death, he had to beg. But this money was not enough even for basic needs. Extra income would definitely not hurt him. A passion for the history of his native city turned him into the person who he is now.

Created a profession

He filled knowledge gaps in local libraries. Although due to his appearance he repeatedly received rejections from people, still he did not give up and walked around the city in search of true connoisseurs of the secrets of St. Petersburg.

Very soon, the “guide” began to recognize the persistent grandpa with a badge on the streets. Grateful tourists began to upload his photos to the Internet. They also learned about him from social networks in the Nochlezhka charity: it was she who provided him with housing and food.

How a man lives now

The man proudly talks about his 2-room apartment, which he shares with his neighbor Alexei. Despite the fact that Alexei, unfortunately, drinks hard, Vyacheslav Romanovich still finds a common language with him. Although trust, according to the guide himself, these days you can only animals: they will never betray.

Vyacheslav Romanovich now has a good (compared to the old days) income. Excursion - about 750 rubles per person, and on top another pension of 13 thousand. He says that he mainly spends money on gifts for good people and household items for himself. A good blanket, pillow, housing and communal services, pet food (because he has, for a minute, 4 kittens and a dog).At the same time trying to save money. The “guide” is almost not wasted on food, his excursionists feed and drink it with pleasure.

Due to his considerable age, Vyacheslav is experiencing many problems: his vision has fallen, so he can’t even see himself in the mirror, and drops do not help. He put his teeth in, but once ate that the upper jaw flew out - he had to be removed, but he does not remember where he was doing. Hence the diction of the problem.

About family and living space

A dream for Vyacheslav Romanovich, despite the housing that is available now, remains his native communal apartment. His parents had already died a long time ago, and when he contacted after surgery (they cut out a hernia) for help to relatives he heard only one question: “Why did he come?” The living space, which he should have rightfully got from his father, passed to his nephew. According to Vyacheslav, because of her, by the way, they brought his father to the grave.

In one month, Vyacheslav Rasner tells his stories about St. Petersburg to more than 200 tourists. Despite a free heart, Vyacheslav Romanovich still experienced paternal feelings. He met his "young children", as he calls them, Eugene - 35 years old and Paul - 41 years old, all in St. Petersburg. Zhenya was abandoned by his mother, and after serving 11 years in prison, he really wanted his father's love, and Pasha, looking at him, wanted a family for himself. The senior taxi driver works in the apartment, but Vyacheslav Romanovich does not ask him, says where I am with my cats and dog ...

More than one book can be written about Vyacheslav Rasner - he has such an amazing biography. And this man is really a role model. An example of how, having lost everything, you can again get to your feet no matter what.
