This is exactly what happened in an ordinary British family after a teenager earned $ 78 million by participating in a tournament.

A British student took part in an open international tournament for players at Fortnite. This simulation game was released in 2017 by the American company Epic Games in collaboration with the Polish computer studio People Can Fly.
In the game, a person finds himself in a large open world full of competitors "armed to the teeth" who want to profit at the expense of newcomers. The essence of the action is extremely simple. The winner of the tournament is Jaden Ashman. He arrived in New York, where the tournament finals were held, from Essex with his mother Lisa Dallmann.

Later, she told reporters that she was an opponent of her son’s hobbies, limited his time at the computer to 8 hours a day, and, moreover, often scandalized. Embarrassed, Lisa said that she once threw a game console out the window.

The prize that Jaden and his mother will take away from New York is 1.8 million euros. But in reality, the teenager earned much more.
In the final of the tournament, which took place at the Arthur Ashe tennis stadium in New York and lasted three days, 100 people participated. But initially, 40 million gamers from all over the world began to compete. That is, Jaden and Dave went through all the qualifying rounds and were allowed to participate in the tournament. After that, they won stage by stage, for each of the victories receiving small cash prizes. In total, Jaden and his partner earned about 78 million dollars, but most of this money went not to them, but to the organizers. Of course, we are talking about earning money on advertising.
You must admit that it was a very difficult task - to win at a time when there is an alert mother at the “door” of the bedroom, capable of pulling wires at any moment or throwing the headset out of the window.
Lisa changed her attitude to her son’s hobby after she learned that they were flying to America, and her child had already earned money for tickets. It took Lisa time to understand what was happening. She claims that Jaden himself will manage all the money. “He is very rational and materialistic, he will find the right use of money,” said Lisa.
