The key to a successful business is a good idea and hard work. The couple, who was not new to the business, decided to expand the scope of their activities. They bought an old carriage in which horses were previously transported, and arranged a bar in it, which is now very popular.
Business expansion
A married couple of Rachel and Matthew Dimbleby has been in business for many years. They own a workshop that manufactures and sells ceramic pots. Their business is quite successful and brings a good income. But, as often happens, business owners want something completely different and something that will bring even more money.
Rachel and Matthew had a long discussion about what else to organize. They wanted to start their own business in some other field, far from ceramics and art in general. Then they came up with the idea of the catering industry. They considered the possibility of opening a pizzeria, and just a diner. But everything seemed to them not quite successful, because these were ordinary institutions, of which there are a lot in America. And the couple wanted something completely unusual to be different from all other businessmen.
New idea
Matthew and Rachel decided to get away from the idea of catering and open their own bar. But for this it was necessary to pay the rent and choose a good place. Anyway, just a bar - it’s also quite boring, like the same pizzeria. Then one of the spouses came up with a completely unexpected and new idea - to open a bar that could be moved and so serve off-site events. The couple were encouraged by this idea and immediately began to implement it.
Horse carriage
Businessmen purchased an old horse carriage. They restored it, made repairs there and opened a bar in it, where anyone could come and drink a glass after a hard day's work. The institution immediately began to enjoy great popularity, because people were already accustomed to ordinary drinking establishments, and they saw the bar equipped in the car for the first time.
The bar menu has a huge number of items of alcoholic beverages, ranging from rum and whiskey to dry wine and vodka. Anyone can find a drink here according to their preferences and mood. And in addition, the bar also sells soft drinks. And, of course, snacks to them.
The Dimbleby couple's bar has been around for more than two years. Matthew and Rachel say that there are many drinking establishments in their city, but they compare favorably with everyone else in that they have equipped their own bar in a horse carriage. The main income for the couple is from going to events and serving weddings, anniversaries and corporate parties.
The spouse has two employees. Spouses are in favor of supporting local alcohol companies, so they buy almost all the drinks in their state. In particular, they are supplied with beer by a local brewing company.
Mobile bar
The bar, which was equipped in an old horse carriage, is called Perry and Porter. Matthew explains that this name came about as a result of combining the names of Rachel's grandparents.
The bar compares favorably with other drinking establishments in that it is mobile. It can be ordered for any event, and it has already established itself as the best supplier of alcohol for weddings. Matthew and Rachel say they are ready to deliver their bar for any occasion and anywhere in America. But if this place is located more than 80 km from their city, then an additional fee is charged for moving the bar.
Often a mobile bar is ordered for corporate parties, and sometimes even indoors. Among the most memorable events that they have already had to attend, Matthew calls the Food Festival and Graduation University of Staffordshire.
