Hurry - you make people laugh: what can happen if your business develops too rapidly

It would seem that the rapid development of the business is a great advantage that every entrepreneur dreams of. However, in practice this assumption is not always true. Moreover, sometimes the rapid development of a business brings the opposite result. As you admire the larger and larger numbers every quarter, tiny cracks may appear in your foundation that threaten to destroy your empire. If you ignore them, your business may end in complete collapse.

Here are five business tips to try to follow.

1. Hiring staff

When a business is young, an entrepreneur, as a rule, does not pay enough attention to the selection of qualified employees, including because of low pay. Often the first employees are friends or relatives. Subsequently, however, this may turn out to be a serious mistake.

As the company grows, you will find that you are hiring new employees, but you will not dismiss the old ones, even if their productivity.

In many startups, employees who were hired at the start receive higher positions, but they do not always correspond to them. Before an appointment, you should find out if they have experience and / or education? Make sure that you do not have extra staff on staff.

It’s very difficult to fire people who have been with you since the opening. That is why you should especially carefully recruit qualified people at the start.

2. Reserve

A business that is growing fast can consume all the profits for breakfast, lunch and dinner because it is experiencing explosive growth. Before you find out that you created a hungry monster who constantly needs money for salaries, advertisements, inventory, and more, you must ensure that he does not starve to death.

As revenues flow, there is a temptation to invest all this in further advancement. However, you must make sure that you keep cash in reserve, which may suddenly come in handy.

3. Do not forget the main thing

When a business grows too fast, many founders lose sight of their original vision. They expand so much that their team members forget what the product or service was in the beginning. It must be said that it can be useful to diversify the business in new areas. However, you must understand what is of interest to your potential customers. If this is product quality, focus on it first instead of focusing on the smallest details that can drain your time and energy, preventing you from moving the company forward.

4. Bad credit

Many startups are trying to find investors and capital. However, not everyone succeeds. There is probably nothing wrong with applying for a loan. However, much attention should be paid to the study of the terms of the loan agreement. You should not agree to such an offer, which puts you in extremely unfavorable conditions.

In the future, this can lead to the fact that your financial opportunities will be severely limited. Instead of directing the profits to the further development of the business, you will have to pay high interest rates that drain your budget.

This can be avoided if the loan offers are carefully screened out at the start, refusing obviously disadvantageous ones. It is better to take short-term loans for the necessary expenses, and then immediately return them after making a profit, avoiding the accrual of high interest.

5. Burnout

All people have a limited supply of energy. At some point, the entrepreneur may feel exhaustion. At such moments, it is important to remember why you started your business. Perhaps you wanted to make more money than when working for someone else. You may have a different goal, but you should always remember about it.

When a business grows too fast, it can consume every minute of your day, making you reactive rather than active. Even if you take a vacation, you will spend it on replies to emails and phone calls.

Don't let your business become a runaway train while you rush down the rails trying to catch it. What is the point of doing business if you are not wasting time to reap the benefits of your hard work? Remember to take the time to yourself and your family, and remember why you started your business.
