Headings

Imagine your startup is a growing bamboo tree: an unusual way to keep your business motivated

The path to success with an ordinary entrepreneur can consist of continuous failures, which many of them face. And it is clear that not all businessmen reveal their full potential. Standard examples of promoting startups show that even under favorable conditions, the project author may not achieve any results. As a result, halfway to success, a promising entrepreneur folds his arms and goes into another sphere.

But as a motivation for such cases, one can draw an analogy with a Chinese bamboo tree. In the early years, it does not give any signs of development, although it receives all the necessary care. But in the 5th year the stubborn owner will be able to observe intensive growth and lush flowering, as a gratitude for his work. The same thing happens in business, and as a basic condition for that heyday, several tricks can be recommended.

Foundation building

The initial period of business formation is the most difficult. The entrepreneur must lay the resource base and management principles that will make the project viable. During this period, a framework of work processes is formed, the engine of which will be the team. It is important not to forget that a lot depends on the quality of the recruited team of employees. Patience and restraint in the future will bear fruit, as is the case with the bamboo tree.

Project investment

Of course, one foundation, as the basis for a startup’s life, is not enough. In order for the project not only to stand still and work, but also to develop, constant investments of resources are required. As soon as the business begins to generate first incomes, it is necessary to invest in the improvement and expansion of the enterprise. The basic set of segments that need regular recharge are technological support, automation, the introduction of new means of communication, the modernization of logistics and, of course, customer service.

Follow course

Growth and development strategies of companies are changing and improving from year to year. New management methods and practices are emerging that are being introduced with success. Fundamentally abandoning such innovations is not worth it, but you need to understand that a radical change in strategic course can ruin a business. The bamboo tree analogy is again relevant. If for some time it has been provided with a suitable type of fertilizer for it, then a change in the nutrition system can disrupt the metabolism of useful elements, which will lead to the death of the plant.
