Discord training: exactly what skills need to be developed in employees and to whom to entrust

According to TAFE * Enterprise Skills and Australian Business Report 2018, about 35% of the skills required to work in all industries are expected to change in the next few years (* TAFE means Trainig and Future Education, which translates as “training and continuing education”).

In the end, what matters is what you have learned and what you have truly learned. Harry S. Truman

So, how are employee skills maintained up to date, regardless of the effectiveness that these changes bring?

1. Investments in a labor team

You should be honest with yourself: today the only thing that allows the work team to keep up with changes in the professional environment is to keep the staff skills up to date through training. Without a long-term plan for training labor resources, the enterprise and employees will hopelessly lag behind modern realities.

Of the 409 companies surveyed, 73% of organizations blamed the lack of training for high staff turnover, and 80% agreed that more should be invested in training staff. That is why organizations need long-term planned training of personnel, since today it is the only way to eliminate existing shortcomings in skills, lack of professional qualifications and introduce emerging trends into the work as they appear.

2. Soft skills

When the CEOs of several Australian companies were asked what abilities they take to create a strong work team, the answer was entirely focused on the so-called soft competencies, which usually include: leadership, adaptability, and the ability to solve problems that go hand in hand with technical training.

According to Arturo Arrarte (Head of Development of Internal Communication Mechanisms for Companies at Slack APAC): “Leading businessmen should look beyond hard skills to stay competitive in the workflow of the future.”

Soft skills are a little more difficult to measure, but they can certainly be improved and brought up with the right approach to learning. Experts recommend choosing courses that emphasize the development of leadership skills and emotional intelligence.

3. Verified training provider

Obviously, employee training is important not only to prepare for the future, but also to retain them in the workplace of the company. So why, then, their training is entrusted to anyone who has no real experience in the chosen field and has not previously achieved success in this field?

Long-term training plans require time, effort and experience for their effective implementation. And partnering with a trusted provider of educational services is critical to achieving your goals.

TAFE Enterprise implements many short courses and authoring training programs that adapt and line up with key business priorities. The training is carried out by industry experts, providing staff with the training and development they need, without placing a lot of responsibility on the forever busy managers.
