At age 12, Darius Brown created his own company for sewing animal ties and has already earned $ 11,000

Darius Brown from New Jersey, in his 12 years, founded a company for sewing ties for animals and has already managed to earn $ 11,000. And this despite the fact that at 2 years old the doctors told the boy’s mother that her son has problems with the development of speech and fine motor skills. Darius's mother and elder sister did not despair, but taught the child to sew, which helped him not only to develop motor skills, but also to earn money.

First helping sister

The elder sister of Darius Dajai Brown-Shirz worked at the school of cosmetology and was engaged in sewing for the girls who studied at this school, hair bands. When her brother Darius was 8 years old, she, having talked with her mother, decided to try to attract a boy to this work. By that time, he even hardly tied the laces on his boots, because he had problems with the development of fine motor skills.

Mother and sister decided that sewing would not hurt their boy, and perhaps, on the contrary, would help him develop his skills. And so it happened. Darius was very interested in the process, and his hands began to develop. Later, he became not interested in sewing hair bands for students of the school of cosmetology, and he decided to try to create something else.

Bow ties

Darius was very interested in sewing and modeling. He began to sew bright holiday butterflies and ties for himself, and did not go out on the street without wearing one of them. The boy looked so beautiful and unusual that often people stopped him on the street and asked where they could buy such ties.

Darius was inspired, because people liked what he was doing. But the boy was not only to sew sports and holiday bow ties only for himself. Once on television, he saw a report on animal shelters. Darius always loved cats and dogs and therefore watched programs about them with great interest.

The program said that due to the large number of animals that were on the street due to the hurricanes Harvey and Irma, there is not enough space for pets in the centers. And people are in no hurry to take homeless pets to their home. This story really touched Darius, and a plan came up in his head.

Helping Homeless Animals

Darius sewed a whole batch of - over a hundred - bow ties of various colors and sent them to the society for the prevention of cruelty to animals. These bow ties were worn on stray dogs and cats, and people were really much more willing to take animals to their homes.

Darius began sending batches of his ties to other shelters throughout the country. This work inspired him very much, because he was engaged in his favorite business: design and sewing. And he helped homeless animals, which he loved very much.

His company raised $ 11,000 and now the boy does not have to pay for the supply of ties from his pocket.

Darius even received a personal letter of thanks for his charitable work from former President of America Barack Obama.

Darius plans to spend the accumulated money on trips around the country to personally deliver his ties to shelters and participate in activities aimed at increasing the number of adoptions of animals. Darius's mother and sister are very proud of him and his successes.
