Average salary in Sweden: national total and rates by occupation

One of the countries providing the best living conditions for its citizens is Sweden. It is a country with a stable economy and high social standards. And, of course, good salaries. In Sweden, the average salary is approximately 14 times higher than in Russia. This fact alone is impressive, but the topic is interesting, so it should be developed.

2017 data

Before designating the average salary in Sweden, it should be noted that this figure is very static. How much a citizen of this country can receive while fulfilling his job duties depends on his qualifications, length of service, enterprise, etc. However, the stakes are still very high, since companies in this country compete in attracting both customers and employees. A good employee is worth its weight in gold.

But even without experience, a person can make good money. With the acquisition of skills, the rate will increase. Also, they pay well for work on holidays, night and overtime.

So, now about the numbers. The average salary in Sweden is about 3,700 € per month. At the current rate, this is about 265,800 rubles.

Who gets the most?

The notorious 3,700 euros is a very average figure. After all, in addition to experience and qualifications, one must also take into account the profession. The average salary in Sweden by specialties and fields of activity differs significantly.

The most impressive salaries are for company directors and SEO professionals. Their average rate is 8 855 euros per month (~ 636 000 rubles). Next in the ranking are senior officials and politicians with a salary of 7,300. e. (about 525,000 rubles). Oddly enough, they are in second place, and not in first. But, by the way, this is only the official statistics.

The politicians are followed by operational managers in real estate and finance, administrative directors, doctors, as well as heads of IT and marketing departments. The average salary in Sweden for these specialists varies from 6,150 to 6,570 euros (this is about 443-470 thousand rubles).

Then in the ranking are pilots (6,100 cu = 438,000 rubles), mathematicians (5,640 cu = 405,000 rubles), construction managers (5,150 cu = 370,000 rub. ), production clerks ($ 5,100 = 365,000 rubles) and lawyers ($ 5,070 = 363,000 rubles).

In general, programmers, chemists, engineers in the field of construction, mechanics and electronics, aircraft, pharmacists, honey. staff, marketers, geologists, real estate agents, university professors and journalists also receive between 3,400 and 4,700 euros. This is from 245,000 to 335,000 rubles, respectively.

Lower segment specialists

Continuing the topic of salaries in Sweden by profession, it is worth moving on to considering the salaries of people who are engaged in a less highly paid job. However, it only sounds like this - in fact, the rates are not bad, they are just slightly lower than those of the above specialists.

The lower segment includes translators (3,200 cu = 230,000 rubles), forwarders (3,075 cu = 220,000 rubles), photographers (2,950 cu = 210,000 rubles), teachers elementary schools (2,900 cu = 205,000 rubles), sellers and employees of the travel agency (2,670 cu = 190,000 rubles), as well as animators, cooks, hostesses and guides (2,600 cu . = 185 000 rub.).

As you can see, not every job in Sweden can provide a citizen of this country with an average salary approved in the country (3,700 cu).

Not everything is so positive

Of course, the amounts listed are impressive and envy the standard of living in Sweden. However, all these figures are gross salaries. Of these, you still need to deduct a substantial income tax! And then you get the amount received by the employees of the Swedish enterprises in the hands of "clean".

The size of the tax, by the way, depends on the commune in which the citizen lives. Everywhere is different. The municipal tax can vary from 29 to 34 percent. Moreover, if a person receives more than 433,900 kroons per year (45,255 cu = 3,251,200 rubles), then he also needs to pay state income tax. And this is another 20% from above. Is the income exceeding 615,700 kroons per year (64,200 cu = 4,614,000 rubles)? Then the additional tax will increase to 25%.

If, for example, a person works in Stockholm and has a gross salary of 45,000 kroons per month in his contract, then this amount will be left to him only 32,300. In fact, he earns 337,000 rubles and receives 240,000 rub.

Minimum

Based on the foregoing, one can understand that work in Sweden is really paid at its true worth, even taking into account the fact that about a third (or even more) have to be paid to the state as a tax.

But these were all average indicators. What about the minimum? Everything is much more interesting here. The fact is that Sweden is one of the six EU countries in which the legislation does not establish a minimum wage. The only thing that regulates rates is collective agreements between employers and unions. To date, about 600 such acts are valid in this state. And they cover about 90% of the local workforce.

And according to many official figures, the minimum wage in Sweden is about 2,000 euros per month. Less is hard to find, even in unskilled labor. This is approximately 144,000 rubles. If, for example, a person pays 30% of this amount as a tax, then he remains with about 100,000 rubles.

By the way, in Sweden, as in Russia (as well as in many other countries), hourly pay is common. In not the most prestigious areas, of course. But even there, less than 15 euros per hour (about 1,070 rubles) no one offers.

"The most impressive salaries are for company directors and SEO specialists. Their average rate is 8 855 euros per month (~ 636 000 rubles)." - You have clearly confused the CEO (Chief Executive Officer) with SEO (Search Engine Optimization).
The level of salaries of the latter is more than 2 times less. From 25-60 thousand crowns per month.
