Return shoes to the store is possible in the event of a warranty period. It can vary from 2 to 4 weeks, however, according to Federal Law No. 25 of the Law on the Protection of Consumer Rights, the buyer is obliged to provide the goods only within a 14-day period with the purchase receipt attached. There is also a factory warranty - the period announced by the manufacturer of a particular shoe model. It applies to the entire range of goods, regardless of whether the store is ready to accept it back on the basis of its established deadlines.
Warranty case
If the shoes or other personal goods did not fit, was purchased without a discount and not at the time of sale, the customer has the right to return it with a full refund. You should also make sure that the shoes at the time of purchase had no defects, and in the same condition will be returned to the seller.
However, there is a nuance: shoes cannot be included in the category of “devices” for which the manufacturer’s guarantee is not established, they cannot be exchanged and returned - the list of household goods is listed in section 4, article 47 of Federal Law No. 55. How then to return the shoes to the store and get the money back?
In the event that the goods received defects after the purchase and before the moment of return, the customer is obliged to assure the seller of low-quality tailoring of shoes by providing evidence. If there is no guarantee, the purchase can be returned within 15 days with a full refund in accordance with Art. 18 of this Law. This point applies to products of good quality without manufacturing defects or acquired defect.
Return unworn shoes
If the customer cannot provide payment receipts, labels or other details confirming the novelty of the goods to the goods at the time of return, it is still possible to return the shoes to the store in the first 14 days.
- A packing box is provided.
- An application is written in the name of the store’s administration with copies attached upon payment of the goods.

The buyer has the right to contact the appropriate law enforcement authorities or the organization for the protection of consumer rights. When the store refuses to refund, the case is submitted to court.

The seller or buyer can offer to exchange low-quality or unsuitable for the sketch and size of the goods for the same only if the shoes are fully consistent with the presentation:
- there are no traces of socks;
- no scratches or cuts;
- There are no defects regulated in Federal Law No. 19.

- The object does not have a warranty card, but according to the seller it is provided. There must be an insert inside the box.
- The described characteristics are stated, but in fact they are not or are not. For example, it was said that the shoes are waterproof. When checking it turned out that this is not so. This is a significant flaw, which the seller hid. According to the law, he was obliged to give reliable information about the product.
- An item of good quality can be returned if the image on the package describes a completely different product. Goods that do not have precious stones and metals are not included in the category of “commodity luxury” according to Federal Law No. 55. Therefore, they can be returned by law, referring to Article 25, or the procedural rule of Art. 502 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation. The seller will be required to reimburse part of the cost based on claims made.
When to return and exchange the goods will not work?
According to the ZOZPP, shoes of good quality can not be returned only because they have disagreed, the model did not fit the specific outfit, and the recipient of the gift, for example, did not like them at all.
- Complex technical products with a warranty period and without factory defects will not be accepted back in any store for reasons not specified in Article 18 of the Law.
- Exchange will also not be made. However, there are exceptions to this, and requirements in accordance with Art. 22 of this Law, they can be presented to the seller legally.
Before buying, a person should examine the product carefully, check for defects, for example, if we are talking about sports shoes with elements of professional functions. Inappropriate color, which the buyer noticed only at home, is not a condition for return. If another is shown on the box, this serves as a reason for replacement according to the ЗОЗПП.
Poor replacement of goods returned to the store
If you have previously contacted the store in order to have your shoes replaced, and the second pair turned out to be of the same poor quality, you are entitled to demand a full refund. These are good reasons for returning shoes to the store, and if you do not want to fulfill the buyer's request, the store runs the risk of being fined.

- Get a refund of the full cost according to paragraph 1 of Art. 18 of the Law "On Protection of Consumer Rights" or partial when replacing with a similar model.
