When a person reaches a certain age, he is assigned a retirement benefit. It should be noted that since the days of the USSR, the retirement age has not changed. However, in some areas of activity, amendments were made that delayed retirement. So now people began to wonder: what time do they retire in each case? For comparison: in most foreign countries, the retirement age begins at 65 years.
Changes
Before, every citizen knew what time they would retire, but now everything has become quite confusing, as there is always talk in society about raising the retirement age for all categories of citizens.
In 2017, a law came into force, according to which it was increased in some categories. But it applies only to those who occupy political positions, as well as those who work in public spheres. Previously, such employees knew when to retire, but now their retirement age is calculated according to certain standards.

After 2025, the retirement age should be as follows: for women - sixty years, for men - sixty-five with twenty years of experience in the position of civil servant. For senior management positions, the age was increased to 70.

Early retirement
The legislation also prescribes professions during employment in which people have the right to premature retirement. These categories include all professions from lists 1 and 2.
By law, retirement of women and men who are employed in jobs with difficult working conditions occurs at 50 (55) years. Moreover, they should have at least twenty years of work experience.
For example, if a welder working with harmfulness not lower than the third class has worked for at least twelve years, then he has the right to an early exit to rest. For women in this profession, experience must be at least six years. Knowing the age at which people in this profession retire, you can safely go on legal rest when you have been working for twelve years and when you reach 55 years of age.
Benefits are people employed in underground production (miners and other professions). They have the right to go on vacation when they reach the age of 50 (45) years. In this case, work experience should be twenty years for men and fifteen for women (of which half of the work experience should be in hazardous work).
Early retirement by age is also provided for workers in textile and garment enterprises. Women can go on holiday at the age of fifty if they have twenty years of experience.
Retirement of military personnel, Ministry of Emergencies
The military men and citizens working in the Ministry of Emergencies and law enforcement agencies are included in a separate category. Many of them are wondering at what age citizens who are members of the military and the Ministry of Emergencies are retiring. Everyone in this category has the right to early retirement when men reach the age of fifty-five years, and women - fifty. At the same time, at the time of retirement, a citizen must have at least twenty years of experience, and half of this period should be in the army.
Mothers having many children
Mothers with many children are also sent to rest ahead of schedule. They are entitled to benefits after reaching the age of 50.At the same time, they should have at least 5 children (born or adopted).
Medical workers
There is a law providing for the early retirement of citizens working in the medical field. To apply for retirement benefits, you must have twenty-five years of experience in the countryside, and thirty in urban hospitals. At the same time, the age of health workers is not indicated, i.e., a citizen can apply for a pension of 50 or 60 years, depending on the length of service in the medical institution.
Citizens who do not fall under preferential pension
All other citizens who do not fall under preferential categories retire at the same age as they always have been: women - from 55, and men - from 60 years.
In addition to reaching the specified age, a citizen must have the appropriate insurance work experience, and on his personal individual account he must have a certain amount of pension points. So, women can apply for a pension subject to the following conditions:
- age - 55 years;
- insurance experience - 8 years;
- retirement points - 11.4.
The minimum length of service will increase annually, and from 2025 it will be 15 years. The required amount of pension points will rise to 30.
Northern pension
Men and women employed in the Far North are eligible for early retirement. Citizens can apply to the PF of the Russian Federation for an experience of 15 (20) years and at the age of 50 (55). If, for example, a citizen has worked for a reindeer herder or fisherman for at least 20 years, then he has the right to retire at the age of forty-five.
Pension with a lack of experience
There are different situations in life, because of which, at the time of retirement, a person did not gain the required length of service. For such categories, a social allowance is provided. It is prescribed to women when they reach the age of 60 years, and men - 65 years.
The social pension is fixed and is recalculated every year. Usually it does not reach a living wage. To increase the benefit, various pension allowances are provided. One of these is a social supplement that allows you to raise the amount of payments to the PM provided in the citizen's region of residence.
