Initially, cardboard and paper rolls should be kept indoors for a day at a constant temperature above 15 degrees Celsius. This operation is called conditioning. After the rolls are fixed on an unwinding machine (rolling), from where cardboard and paper are fed to the heating cylinders.

Here, heating is carried out, followed by moistening the raw materials. Then the paper passes through the corrugating shafts at a temperature of 180 degrees, resulting in a wavy profile. After that, it enters the glue applicator, here on one side of the corrugation an adhesive film is applied, to which flat cardboard is connected.

This technology allows you to produce both two-layer and three-layer products. Next, the corrugated cardboard is placed in a drying device. The drying process is carried out using drying ovens or electricity and steam. After that, the material is cooled and enters the cutting department, where it is cut using circular knives.

The cardboard manufacturing process consists of two stages: preparation of raw materials and production of products. The first stage includes the following operations: dissolution of waste paper in a special pulper; purification of raw materials from foreign elements and large ingredients, which is carried out in a vortex cleaner of increased concentration; additional dissolution of the already purified mass in a pulsation mill; final fine cleaning.

After this, the finished raw material mass enters the capacity of the composite pool. Here, starch, alumina and rosin glue are introduced into its composition.At the end, the mixture undergoes another additional fine cleaning - on vortex cleaners and knotters.

Stage Two

Further, the paper pulp is fed to special equipment for the production of cardboard. Here, the raw material substance is first dehydrated, then pressed and dried. As a result of these operations, a sheet of cardboard is formed. Finally, such products are passed between the shafts of the machine calender. Here, high-pressure cardboard sheets are smoothed out. Finished products are wound on a special vestibule shaft, and then sent to the tray of the slitting machine. At this installation, cardboard is cut to a given size.

A company specializing in the production of cardboard should have an automated line. Such an installation includes equipment not only for the manufacture of the final product, but also for the preparation of paper pulp and waste paper.

Preparatory technique: pulper; vortex cleaner to eliminate heavy inclusions; pulsation and disk mills, turbo separator, vibrating screen, knotter, mixer for raw materials. In addition, this line includes a specialized machine for forming the web, dewatering and drying it. Modern cardboard manufacturing machines can produce up to 300 tons of finished products per day with a maximum width of 6000 mm.

The production process includes the following steps:

  • cutting of sheets - for this a special cutting and leveling installation is used;
  • printing - this operation is carried out using a flexographic station, which allows for both single-color and multi-color printing;
  • forming blanks depending on the packaging design; At this stage, various equipment can be used.

Next, gluing the boxes is carried out, this procedure is performed on a folding-gluing machine. Equipment for the production of cardboard and packaging typically operates in automatic mode. At the end of the process, finished products are formed into dressing packs and placed on pallets. For ease of transportation, they are tied into pallets, for this you will need a strapping machine. Automatic strapping installation will significantly reduce the time of this procedure.

Requirements for Production Facilities

The workshop where corrugated board is manufactured and packaged from it must meet the following requirements: at least 1400 square meters must be allocated for the production line; for packaging machines - 1000 square meters; the room must be equipped with ventilation (according to SNIP 2.04.05–91), a fire safety system (SNIP 21–01–97). In addition, it is necessary to maintain a constant temperature regime - not lower than 18 degrees - with a relative humidity of not more than 80 percent.

The area of ​​storage facilities for finished products should be at least 500 square meters, and 500 square meters will also be sufficient for raw materials. The temperature in them should not fall below +5 degrees. In addition, it is important that storage facilities are protected from various sources of moisture and groundwater.
