Vasiliev also merged the Auxiliary Bank for the Nobility with the Borrowed Bank and allowed the establishment of private banks in the Livonia and Estland provinces.

Currently, the Minister of Finance of Russia - Anton Siluanov. He followed in the footsteps of father German Siluanov, who was a financier and one of the employees of the USSR Ministry of Finance. After graduating from the Moscow Financial Institute in 1985, he began his professional career at the Ministry of Finance of the RSFSR. Over the years, he replaced several posts, gradually moving up the ranks. He replaced Alexei Kudrin in 2011. His appointment was a surprise to everyone. Among the possible applicants for the position, his surname has never sounded. The most likely candidates were Tatyana Golikova, Sergei Ignatiev, Mikhail Zadornov and Arkady Dvorkovich.
