Headings

The vacancy and the name of the candidate are in the title: a friend recruiter shared life hacks to write the perfect resume

An interview with representatives of the personnel department is a crucial event on which the future career of a job seeker may depend. Many people mistakenly think that attempts to present themselves favorably to the employer make no sense, since he will still understand the true value of the candidate. However, my acquaintance recruiter is of the opposite opinion, believing that a resume can help even an inexperienced employee in a successful career start. This is the most important document at the interview, but only a small part of people knows how to compose it correctly.

Now I want to offer some useful tricks from my friend that will help you write the perfect resume.

1. Individualization

You should start from yourself, your experience and the target position. There are no secrets at this stage - an elementary description of skills, knowledge, abilities and past successes. It is the emphasis on their data that will make the resume unique and devoid of the typical set of phrases that are full of 90% of such documents.

2. Contact details

This is an important detail that many too miss, focusing on the content part. Moreover, the title immediately indicates the name and vacancy, and then follows the contact information. At a minimum, you need to add a phone and email. If there are social networks that have value in terms of assessing personal and professional qualities, they can also be added. Pictures, links to additional information and clarifying personal information should be discarded.

3. Application of action verbs

A friend strongly recommends making the resume convincing through verbs, while excluding adjectives. Characteristics such as hardworking, responsible, honest and sociable will not tell an experienced recruiter anything, but only cause irritation.

In turn, the verb of action specifically indicates the affairs of man. In particular, you can use similar phrases:

  • "Participated in the organization of the project ...".
  • "Compiled reports ...".
  • "Developed a business model for ...".

In each example, the employer will understand what the applicant specifically worked on and what experience he has. The format of the interview with clarifying questions will help to establish itself in the foregoing just therefore all the information should be initially reliable.

4. Resume optimization

The design and stylization of the text is also of great importance. An easy-to-understand resume is in itself disposed towards itself and arouses a positive impression. To achieve this effect will allow the following tips from a friend:

  • Maintain a consistent presentation of data according to content.
  • Observe intervals using italics, underlines, etc.
  • Headings should be in order of importance.
  • Take into account the nuances of translating a document from one format to another.
  • All information should fit on one page.

Also, contraindications for an ideal resume should be considered:

  • Use the pronoun "I".
  • Start lines with dates.
  • Use abbreviations.
  • Apply color templates.

At each stage of writing a resume, it is important to remember a simple thing - the recruiter is faced with the task of understanding how the candidate sitting in front of him meets the requirements of the company. The summary is precisely the document through which it can be clarified. Therefore, the more informative, clearer and at the same time this document will be more convenient for perception, the higher the chances of a positive decision on hiring.Of course, provided that there are indeed factual grounds for this. In any case, a competent resume is a plus in the eyes of company representatives.
