Sometimes you want to visit an unusual bar with a pleasant atmosphere. How would you feel if you were literally in a bank safe? This original bar was an ordinary bank many years ago, in which people kept their valuables and important documents. Now this place has become one of the modern attractions of the Brazilian city of Sao Paolo.
Building history
Before you visit Safe Bar, it is important to study its history a bit. The building, where the bar is now located, was built in 1947 and at one time was considered the pinnacle of architectural design in the city of São Paulo. For many years, the State Bank was located in the house, until in 2000 the premises were sold to Santander.
In accordance with the tradition established in the city, the company did not make any changes to the architectural design and in 2015 opened a non-standard entertainment institution in it.
Fancy bar
From the time of the bank, the marble floor and old walls have been preserved in the interior decoration of the room.
Huge steel doors made of steel divide the room into three rooms.
The first wall consists of 2,000 bank cells, which were previously used by former bank customers to store documents, gold bars and jewelry.
Sitting in an old comfortable armchair, it seems to visitors that they are inside a bank safe.
The second room is similar to Gotham - a fictional city from Batman comics. Old sofas, chairs and wardrobes are also saturated with the atmosphere of the early DC comics.
The third hall of the bar is equipped for couples and large companies. In the corner is a huge sofa, which many consider “the most attractive place in the bar”.
Food you just can't help but try
In addition to the original atmosphere and pleasant music, the bar is famous for its delicious and varied menu. Fresh chicken hearts, naturally fermented bread, cheese pencils and exotic banana bread are served here.
