Headings

The woman wanted her daughter to go to college. But the girl did not listen to her and secretly made her own way.

Sometimes parents believe that they have the right to fully decide for their children. Sometimes such care can completely break the child, and he will choose the wrong path of life. Here is one of these stories, but this time the teenager did not go on about the parents, but he chose his life path. We look through the eyes of the mother on the act of her daughter.

Choosing a Life Path

This year, enrollment in higher education is a nightmare. All students and their parents know this well. In some universities there were many places, but despite this, there were twice as many people who wanted to enroll. I was very nervous about this, but my daughter kept reassuring me all the time.

Even the ex-husband gave great support: he said that he would take this issue upon himself. He will be the one who will help her in everything and I will not have to worry about anything. I was a little surprised by his sudden activity, but still grateful. Moreover, I have a difficult situation at work and I had to concentrate on it.

Only now it became clear why they completely cut me off from control over the situation. They all thought well out and conspired behind me.

What happened?

The initial plan was simple and obvious to me. The daughter will submit documents to three higher educational institutions, she only had to pass her certificate and wait for a decision. Most students do this, it is hard to imagine a more reasonable scenario. Moreover, she always studied well. I was convinced that at least one of the universities would make a positive decision.

All this time she assured me that everything would be fine, and I believed in it. I wanted to show my confidence and support. When I talked with my ex-husband, he always assured me that everything was fine and did not consider it necessary to inform me of what they were up to.

It just turned out that she did not get into any university, because she didn’t even try! From the very beginning, she knew that she wanted to go to college. Once a topic appeared, but I thought I convinced her, and finally she wised up. She recently assured me that I would be satisfied. Now I just want to cry, because there is no turning back.

It is already known that she will go to the school of her dreams. Secondary Technical College, specializing in hairdressing technician. Thus, it closes the path to a further career, because the chances of passing the exam for a matriculation certificate fall to zero. I'm furious that a teenager tricked me. And especially since she conspired with her father behind me.

Crushed feeling

How am I going to look people in the eye? I am not at all proud of her, I am just ashamed. I always thought that a vocational school and technology is plan B. This scenario is only suitable for poor families, because adolescents need to get a profession and go to work as soon as possible.

The daughter claims that she chose the most appropriate option for herself. She will quickly gain experience and open her own business. I am not saying that such stories do not exist, but only a few succeed. Moreover, we do not live in a metropolis where people go to exclusive salons, so I do not believe in its success. I'm afraid that she will not achieve anything in her life.

Afterword

This is precisely the attitude of this woman to her daughter, who believes that young people need only a degree and without success they will not succeed. In fact, now the greatest demand for working professions and earnings in them, at times, are not inferior to those that are paid for labor in the presence of higher education.Work should bring pleasure to a person, and then he will certainly start to earn good money, if he is a professional, he will always be in demand, and his work will be well paid.
