Advice from millionaire Ken Honda for start-up businessmen: "Money spent on other people's happiness is the key to successful business"

Feel miserable? Then, perhaps, it makes sense to take a closer look at your finances. More precisely, analyze how you dispose of them and what emotions you experience. Business coach and millionaire Ken Honda in his new book, Happy Money, says the secret to success is the harmonious intersection of personal finances and happiness. We feel joy only when we spend money for the benefit of others.

Happy money

So, in his book, Ken argues that money can flow from positive or negative experiences and emotions. Accordingly, this determines the attitude of a person. Happy money brings joy and happiness, satisfaction, pride in their achievements. They are used with love, for example, when a boy buys a bouquet of flowers for his mother on March 8. Or when parents save money on a monthly basis in order to send their child to the camp in the summer or go on vacation with the whole family to the sea.

As for happy money in business, this is when you see faces of satisfied customers, you get positive feedback about your work. That is, you feel that you are benefiting people and society. This is especially evident when you are involved in charity work.

Sad money

This money is associated with negativity and pulls a person down. Regardless of the amount, you still experience anger, disappointment, despair, sadness. For example, when you receive alimony from an ex-spouse, the relationship with which after the divorce has remained quite conflicted or strained. Or when you get a salary at work that you sincerely hate. Although you know that you need money, you don’t love your job so much that they only end up harming you.

How is it shown? For example, in the additional costs associated with unexpected troubles. For example, the illness of a family member or the breakdown of expensive equipment.

Attitude to finance

We all have a different attitude to finance, but in order to feel happy, you need to remember that money should not become an end in itself. They are just a tool for a full life, full of new experiences. Spend them for the benefit of yourself and other people, buy positive emotions for them - and then you yourself will not notice how you get rich. But never store them in a bank or live in austerity conditions if you really have the means. By this you deprive yourself of the opportunity to enjoy life.
