I share the recipe for delicious kefir. I cook in a slow cooker

Dairy products are an important part of the diet, especially for children. In turn, kefir is rightfully considered one of the most famous and useful products from milk. It is suitable for use as a drink, and for the preparation of various dishes and marinades. Also, kefir is perfect for breakfasts and afternoon snacks, being hearty enough for a small snack, in addition, you can take it with you on the road or for a long walk.

However, one often wants the product to be tastier and better. Then you can try to cook your own homemade kefir, using a slow cooker.

Many of them have special modes of working with dairy products, you just need to find a recipe. I will share one of them here. Its feature is that it is suitable even for the simplest models of kitchen appliances, in which there is not much additional cooking function. With this recipe you can make a very rich and delicious homemade kefir.

Essential Products

For cooking you will need:

  • Kefir (2.5% fat) - 275 ml.
  • High fat milk - 2.2 liters.

After purchasing the ingredients, you can start cooking

Beat milk, pour into a saucepan and put on the stove over medium heat. After the first bubbles appear, it is worth immediately reducing the flame to a minimum so as not to boil too much, continuing to cook it for another 10 minutes.

After that, allow the milk to cool, but not too much, to about 50 degrees.

When you reach the desired temperature, add kefir there and mix slowly. Prepare the multicooker bowl by washing and heating it with boiling water.

Pour the mixture of milk and kefir into the device, close the lid. Turn on the “Preheat” program, set the timer for 12 minutes. Do not open the slow cooker when time is running out. Wait 1 hour for the kefir to infuse, then turn on the "Preheat" again, but for 10 minutes.

Now the drink can be considered almost ready. Cool it, pour into clean bottles or jars, close the lids. Put in the refrigerator for about 6 hours, after which you can drink it calmly. The shelf life of such kefir is three days when stored in the refrigerator, since it is no longer in a fully sealed package.

Why is homemade kefir so good?

It tastes better than a simple product from the store, because it improves due to milk, less sour and more satisfying. Therefore, for all lovers of dairy products, it will be a good option for breakfast or afternoon tea. In addition, you can surprise guests by telling them that they prepared the drink in person.
