Why do you really need discount cards?

You can be glad for a long time that with each purchase you manage to save a little thanks to the use of a funded card. However, in reality this is nothing more than another marketing ploy aimed at making customers pay more.

If you think that discount cards are made for your savings, think again. Even if you really manage to save money, the store benefits greatly for several reasons:

• Holders of discount cards are “tied” to a particular store. If there is a choice between two similar supermarkets, the client will most likely go to the one where he became a member of the bonus program.
  
• Habit tracking. The store receives a lot of information about the preferences of holders of discount cards. What products do you buy more often? What price category are they in? Using this information, the store can make individual offers to its customers, which are difficult to refuse. For example, a sweet tooth may be offered to participate in the fifth chocolate free promotion. Perhaps you usually do not buy such a volume of sweets. However, greed forces you to open your wallet and make a purchase.

Imaginary Savings

The assumption that a discount card saves your budget is actually a big mistake. Some buyers try to get a big discount by increasing the volume of their purchases. Some people claim that after refusing discount cards, their total check decreased and the shopping list decreased.
