Headings

Not all employers are honest: an HR specialist told how it’s easy to figure out a director who’s better not to mess with.

The practice of employment today is perceived so that, first of all, the employer evaluates the quality of the applicant by conducting an interview and looking at his resume. However, the candidate for the workplace should also bear in mind that the negative characteristics of the manager can fully cover all the advantages of the vacancy.

The HR specialist on points told what exactly can testify to the chief who is better for avoiding.

1. The unfinished site

If a company has been represented on the market for several years and still does not have a presentable website, this means that the manager underestimates the role of marketing in modern business.

2. Remote location from the center

Any successful boss seeks to bring his business closer to the center, which is quite logical. Even small financial opportunities allow us to solve this problem.

3. Staff turnover

Obviously, people do not flee a company with good leadership. It is worth talking about this with the current team of the company.

4. Presentable design

Both the facade and the interior furnishings in the company should equally emphasize its true status. If the appearance already eloquently makes it clear about the deplorable state of the enterprise, this indicates either the inefficiency of the management, or its indifference to the image, which in itself is a negative sign.

5. Excessively rich design of the office of the head

It often happens that managers seek to emphasize their personal status against the background of the general situation of the company, decorating the stop of the interior of their office as brightly and pompously as possible. As a rule, this looks funny, but this desire hides the boss’s craving for personal gain, even to the detriment of the company, not to mention the interests of the team.

6. General indifference

If the manager does not show particular interest in discussing employment issues and does not go into explaining the activities of the company with its goals and objectives, then one should not count on successful cooperation.

7. The blurring of responsibilities

A clear definition of the functions and tasks that the employee will face in the process of work is one of the main indicators of the responsible leader. If he vaguely describes the list of responsibilities, then he himself is not able to clearly see the goals of the company and the tasks of employees.

8. Evasion in determining wages

A confident leader who understands the complexity of the tasks facing each employee, firmly estimates the size of wages. If, already at the interview stage, he tries to find out to a greater extent what the candidate is counting on, this again testifies to the absence of the qualities of a confident and conscientious leader.

9. The lengthy process of formal employment

If we are not talking about difficulties on the part of the applicant, then delays in registering a new employee can be considered as one of the signs of the lack of organization and order in the company. Clear evidence of a lack of effective leadership.

10. Long trial period

There is a rather ungrateful practice when superiors try to fill in seasonal gaps in the staff at the expense of temporary personnel that are arranged on the basis of a trial period. Of course, the level of payment in this case is much lower, and you can not think about career prospects.
