Headings

After retiring, a 7-year-old man tried to retire, but one day he could not stand it and stole a loaf of bread to go to jail

After retirement, many people who have worked diligently all their lives may find themselves below the poverty line and live in poverty. This happened to the man in question. And to secure a roof over his head, he went on a crime.

Severe youth

An elderly man who is now 67 years old admitted that he always had a difficult time. He barely made ends meet, although he was not a loafer and always worked.

For many years of youth and adulthood, he gave the hardest work as a loader. He worked in the crease, unloading heavy food boxes. Sometimes the working day lasted 11 hours without a break.

This work did not go without a hell for his health. Often, returning home to his family, he suffered nights from back pain and could not fall asleep. But he never complained to any member of his family, and in the morning he went back to work in order to somehow provide for his wife and sons.

Worthy old age?

When the time came to retire, the man asked his employer to leave him to work as a loader for some more time, because he had nothing to live on. But the owner of the warehouse was adamant and sent the old man on a well-deserved rest.

The pensioner could hardly make ends meet. He did not seek help from his matured sons, because they had their own families for a long time, and they also did not live well. He was paid a pension, but it was so small that it was barely enough for the most necessary products.

Forced crime

One day, the elderly man’s patience snapped, and he went on a crime. He entered the nearest store and stole the bread. Immediately he was seized by a guard, who showered the old man with curses, and called the police, who took him to the station.

Upon learning of the incident, the sons of the old man were horrified. They could not believe that their father, who had always been an example to them, had committed theft. Barely they were able to collect the necessary amount so that their father would be released on bail.

When the case was heard and the old man told why he had gone to crime, complete silence reigned in the hall, and many cried, including the judge. The man admitted that he had stolen bread to be imprisoned. After all, there he would have a roof over his head and every day they would bring him at least a plate of beans. And now he doesn’t have that either.

He refused to turn to his sons for help and did not tell them what a difficult financial situation he was in. After all, they and they themselves barely have enough money to feed their families. Therefore, he decided that it was better to be in prison than to vegetate in poverty without a home or food.
