A disability labor pension is paid every month in order to compensate for the wages of the insured. Assistance is accrued to persons who have been injured and are disabled. Such material assistance is supposed 1, 2 and 3 categories of disability. The conditions for awarding a disability pension are as follows:
- With the help of medical and social expertise, a category of human disability is established in a federal institution. After which he officially receives disability status.
- Establishing the causes of disability, the death of the breadwinner of the family, or deliberate harm to one’s health is established in court form and approved by the authorities of the Russian Federation.
- Collateral is charged to all insured people, regardless of the method of injury (some exceptions are possible). Also, payments are made if a person performs certain work. Cash assistance does not depend on the length of the person's insurance experience and on the place of the acquisition of injuries or illnesses.
- If a person caused intentional harm to his health (this fact is established in court), or a person does not have insurance experience, he is accrued social pension benefits.
Disability benefits
The material payment to unemployed people is assigned by the authorities of the Russian Federation to the insured citizens of the country, as well as to foreigners who have lived for a long time in the territory of the Russian Federation. - disability labor pension, which is assigned according to the law “On labor pensions of the Russian Federation”;

When material assistance payments come into effect
A disability labor pension comes into effect from the moment of official confirmation of the disability status, if the applicant applied no later than a year from the date of severe injuries.
The duration of such payment depends on the degree of injury. But this period ends with the appointment of a working old-age pension or with the advent of retirement age. In women, this age begins at 55 years, and in men - from 60 years.
If a person cannot have a working old-age pension, then material disability assistance ceases to be paid from the moment of paying social assistance for old age. If a citizen is working at the time of reaching retirement age, then social assistance is not paid. Social retirement benefits are granted for children with disabilities and people with the first, second and third groups.
Who can get a state disability pension
In accordance with the current legislation of the Russian Federation, a special category of people has the right to a labor disability pension. Receive financial support can:
- people who have been injured as a result of man-made or radiation disasters;
- military;
- citizens who participated in the Great Patriotic War;
- people who have the award "Resident of the besieged Leningrad";

Military disability retirement pension
The disability of a serviceman is recognized if a disaster occurred during the performance of official duty due to shell shocks, illnesses or injuries during the defense of the country. The disease that led to disability during service is considered to be an injury during an accident and is not related to the performance of military assignments.
Depending on the severity of the disease, the military receive the corresponding state material payment. The size of the labor disability pension for people due to military injuries (the percentage is calculated from the social pension):
- 300% - 1 category.
- 250% - 2 categories.
- 175% - 3 categories.
Disability pension payments for military personnel who became ill during service (the percentage is calculated from social pension):
- 250% - 1 group.
- 200% - 2 groups.
- 150% - 3 groups.
Calculation of labor disability pension for people affected by radiation disasters
Citizens who become disabled after the explosion at the BSEC, the Russian authorities pay pensions, regardless of the length of work experience. This category of people can receive financial assistance in old age. The sizes of rates of collateral for different categories (payments occur as a percentage of social assistance):
- 250% - 1 group.
- 250% - 2 groups.
- 250% - 3 groups.
- 125% - for people with disabilities who have disabled family members.
Amount of payments for veterans of the Great Patriotic War and for people with the award “Resident of besieged Leningrad”
The amount of payments depends on the degree of disability of a citizen of the Russian Federation. Disability labor insurance pension for veterans is (payment occurs as a percentage of social assistance):
- 250% - 1 degree.
- 200% - 2 degree.
- 150% - 3 degree.

- 100% - 3 degree.
Who can receive a double pension
In the Russian Federation there is a category of people who have the legal right to receive two pensions at the same time. One will be charged for labor before the retirement age, and the other - as material support from the state. List of people who are able to receive double material benefits:
- people who became disabled during the war;
- participants of the Great Patriotic War;
- people with the award "Resident of the besieged Leningrad";
- astronauts, if they have an agreement on receiving monetary assistance for insurance experience.
What is the amount of assistance by disability category in 2017
The disability labor pension in 2017 in Russia is lower than in 2016. For disabled children or sick groups 1, 2 and 3, material assistance in 2017 increased by only 11.9%, and social payments increased by only five and a half percent . In 2016, they were increased by 17.1%, and social payments - by 5% (slightly less than in 2017).
However, the state made a one-time payment of 5,000 rubles to people with the first, second and third groups. The legislation of the Russian Federation this year provided an opportunity to take advantage of various benefits, provided patients with free medicines or discounts on drugs, as well as discounts on medical care.
A list of other benefits for people with disabilities in 2017 includes:
- queue advantage in any public institution;
- discounts for prosthetics;
- free medicines or their purchase at affordable prices;
- treatment in sanatoriums at the expense of the state.
If the patient refuses free medication and treatment in a sanatorium, then he will be given compensation in cash.
Patients of the first and second categories who do not work are provided with free medication upon presentation of a prescription. For employees of the second and third groups, a discount of 50% of the initial cost is provided for medicines.
Social payments are intended for children with disabilities, for war veterans and disabled people. Amount of social payments for 2017:
- RUB 2,974.03 - This is a monthly payment for people of the 1st category;
- 2 123,91 rub. makes monthly payments to people of the 2nd category;
- RUB 1,700.23 monthly payments for patients of the 3rd category;
- 2 123.91 monthly sick children will receive.
The insurance payment for 2017 is paid to patients of all categories, if they have insurance experience. Amount of insurance payments for 2017:
- 11 903.51 rubles monthly payment to patients of the 1st degree;
- RUB 9,919.73 material payment for people of the 2nd degree;
- RUB 4,215.90 for citizens of the 3rd degree.
