Clinical examination is a complex of various measures designed to detect diabetes, chronic, oncological, non-infectious, cardiovascular diseases, as well as to prevent the risk of these diseases, their complications and early mortality.
What is included in the medical examination?
Clinical examination is a complete examination of public health. It includes a set of consultations with specialists and the procedures necessary to assess the physical and mental state of a person, the work of his internal organs. An examination is necessary to identify diseases or their complications in the early stages. Based on the results of the clinical examination, a predisposition to a particular disease (oncology, diabetes mellitus, etc.) is determined. The nature and extent of the examination depends on the age and gender of the person.
Clinical examination takes place in clinics. The survey is carried out on modern equipment. If necessary, a person is given immediate medical attention. If it is not urgently needed, then disease surveillance or prevention is carried out.
Is a medical examination a paid procedure?
Clinical examination is an absolutely free procedure. It is paid by an insurance company that issued a compulsory medical insurance policy. Therefore, before the start of the examination in the registry of the clinic (or district physician), you must provide a policy and passport. The medical examination is carried out at the place of residence of the person, in the clinic to which he is attached, under the supervision of a local therapist.
Who can be examined?
Children's medical examination is carried out separately, in the established months and years. The survey is gradually expanding. The rest of the medical examination of the population is carried out in three categories of citizens:

Medical examination can go through every citizen. How to refuse it. This procedure is a personal matter for every person. Therefore, a citizen has the right to refuse to undergo a medical examination. The employer also has no right to forcibly send the employee to this procedure without his consent.
How many stages exist during the medical examination?
The stages of the clinical examination consist of two parts. The first stage begins with a survey of a citizen. In this case, chronic diseases, risk factors and their development are detected. It turns out whether a person is using psychotropic or narcotic drugs. Further:
- measured height, body weight, pressure;
- an ECG is performed;
- fluorography;
- gynecological examination;
- tests for cholesterol are given;
- an abdominal ultrasound is done;
- intraocular pressure is measured;
- a blood test is taken for white blood cells, hemoglobin, etc .;
- consultation with a neurologist;
- glucose analysis (to detect diabetes mellitus or the risk of this disease);
- analysis of urine and feces;
- biochemistry;
- prostate-specific antigen is determined (for men).
After the first stage, the therapist summarizes and decides whether or not a more thorough examination is necessary. If it is required, then at the second stage the following procedures are carried out:
- duplex scanning of arteries;
- esophagogastroduodenoscopy;
- examination by a surgeon or urologist;
- analysis of the lipid spectrum of the blood;
- additional consultation with a gynecologist;
- examination by an ophthalmologist.
Children's medical examination
Clinical examination of children is a routine procedure, carried out regularly. This is a complete examination of the child’s health and development.The main goal of children's medical examination is the detection of a disease or various pathologies, assessment of the nervous system, physical and mental state.
Children are required by law to be examined every year. An extended examination is carried out in the first two years of life, then from 3 to 17 years annually. After this, medical examination is carried out only with the consent of the patient. The list of doctors, tests and procedures that a child needs to go through depends on his age. The examination is carried out before the baby goes to kindergarten or school.
Clinical examination is a voluntary examination. But the nursery is carried out without fail from the first months of the child's life. The first examination is a month, then at three and at six. From a year to two, the survey is carried out 1 time in each quarter. Then (in the years listed above) the medical examination provides only the main minimum of tests and examinations by specialists. But at the request of the parents, the examination can be expanded. This is decided at a pediatrician's appointment.
The goal of the clinical examination up to 3 years of age is to monitor the development of the child and identify possible pathologies. Examination:

From 3 to 7 years - the examinations are more advanced, as the child goes to kindergarten, and then to school. The following doctors are added:

After a full examination by specialists and obtaining all the results of the analyzes, the completion of the clinical examination is held by the therapist. It identifies the patient’s health group and makes recommendations. If any disease is detected during the examination, then the person is sent to a specific specialist for treatment.
