How to choose equipment for door production

During the manufacture of door structures, several types of materials are used. Currently, you can find plastic, aluminum or even glass products. But classic wood models are still in great demand. For their release, it is necessary to choose the right equipment for the production of doors.

The right choice of machine for door manufacturing begins with the planning stage of production. At this stage, a business plan is drawn up, which reflects the overall budget of the event, the product range and the list of equipment. When choosing the latter, certain factors must be taken into account.

First of all, this is the performance of the line. Each door manufacturing machine is designed for a specific volume of products. This is the main selection option. But, in addition to this, the following characteristics should be taken into account:

  • The complexity of the workpiece processing process. This parameter directly depends on the number of machine personnel.
  • Dimensions. They are taken into account when arranging equipment in the production room.
  • Power consumption. It is one of the components of the formation of production costs.

For each type of equipment, there are certain selection criteria that should be considered separately.

At the end of processing the boards, their humidity remains too high. The required indicator should be 8-10%. For effective and quick drying, special cameras are used - sealed boxes with internal heating and a ventilation system.

They are steel structures with hermetic walls protected by heat-insulating material. You can choose the best model by the following indicators:

  • Net volume of the camera.
  • Temperature operating conditions. They depend on the number and location of the heating elements. The parameter affects the drying speed.
  • The circulation mechanism inside the structure. Must be present forced ventilation.

It is recommended to order a drying chamber on an individual project. In this case, its parameters will fully comply with the required technical characteristics of the entire production line.

At the end of the drying process, the lamellas are rejected and glued together. But first you need to mill the surface of the boards to give them the same size.For this, a machine for the production of doors is purchased with the ability to simultaneously process several sides of the workpiece.

It is best to opt for quadrilateral milling centers. Their productivity is about 10-15 m p./min. Be sure to include cutters in the kit to form the mounting groove on the side surface of the profile.

More productive models can perform up to 8 operations at a time. However, for a line with low productivity, they have too high a processing speed. An important factor is the increase in the cost of the milling machine, depending on its functionality.

The door press is a horizontal table into which lamellas are loaded to form a furniture panel. The main parameter is the dimensions of the final product and the speed of its manufacture.

Installation of hinges and locks is an optional operation. As a standard line for the production of doors is limited to the manufacture of the shield and the milling of its outer surface. However, products made according to the “bought and installed” principle began to be in great demand. The presence of locks and hinges in the design greatly facilitates the installation process.

To install them, you will need a table, the dimensions of which are usually 2x2 m. The tubular structure is able to move freely for quick installation of accessories. Using templates will reduce the time it takes to complete the operation and increase the accuracy of the installation of individual elements.

At the end of the manufacturing process, the door leaf is packed and sent to a warehouse for storage. It is important not to lay the PVC film on the entire surface of the structure. When moisture condenses, it can change color. The front part of the door is protected by cardboard sheets, which will also prevent mechanical damage.
