Currently, the production of doors is one of the most promising areas. Constantly increasing demand, the appearance of new finishing materials and the optimization of technology make it possible to achieve high quality products at minimal cost. When planning this type of activity, high-quality equipment for the production of wooden doors is necessary.
How do wooden doors
At the first stage, you need to find out the principle of assembly of door structures. The composition of the equipment may vary depending on the type of production. Therefore, it is best to consider the option of assembling interior doors as one of the most common.
Production is conditionally divided into the following stages:
- Wood preparation: sawing, drying and sizing of individual bars. It is used only in factories with a full cycle.
- Production of glued timber. Recesses are made on the surface of the workpiece for a better bundle of individual elements. Powerful machines for the production of wooden doors at this stage are needed only for greater productivity.
- Pressing blanks.
- Cutting timber and manufacturing frame structure.
- Panel sticker, installation of cellular insulation inside the doors.
- End processing.
- Painting and installation of accessories.
Settlement stage is optional. If the equipment for the production of wooden doors is designed to produce a budget design, the final process will be the processing of the ends of the panel.
Technology selection
Until recently, they were made only from solid wood. The rigid frame was filled with plug-in slats, and as a result, a reliable, but rather massive structure was obtained. For interior doors, this technology is unacceptable. They must perform the functions of dividing the space of the apartment (house) with access to separate rooms.
In most cases, the technology of manufacturing interior doors is selected. In order to reduce the cost of purchasing equipment, you can purchase ready-made glued beams from contractors. In this case, the equipment for the production of wooden doors will consist of the following machines:
- Circular saw or two-headed cutting line. The latter is needed only for large volumes of output.
- Mounting tables equipped with clamps.
- A machine for processing the edges of an already finished product.
This is the minimum set, which can later be changed by adding more powerful equipment.
Equipment Installation Procedure
After choosing the optimal set of machines, a plan should be drawn up for their location on the workshop floor. For this, it is necessary to take into account the places of power supply, lighting and the order of assembly.
Taking into account the dimensions of the machines, a detailed plan for their installation is drawn up, which indicates the type of machine, its purpose and the number of staff. This is necessary for the organization of the workplace - foreign objects or crowding should not interfere with the production process. There is also room for transportation of blanks from the place of one operation to the place of the next.
A storage room for finished products is separately prepared. It must be heated and with forced ventilation. To preserve the doors, their ends are insulated with cardboard inserts, and a plastic film is wound around the edges of the structure.
Ventilation system and fire safety
To ensure safety and create a normal working environment, it is necessary to provide for the installation of forced ventilation of the workshop. It will provide air exchange in the room and remove sawdust from the place of cutting blanks.
Even if you make the manufacture of wooden doors with your own hands, most of the garbage can get inside the equipment, which will lead to its quick breakdown. Forced ventilation of the workshop is a duct system with separate output points for each machine.
In addition to it, automatic fire extinguishing means are mounted. Pipes with holes are located in the upper part of the workshop. In the event of smoke, the signal from the sensor will go to the control unit and the automatic valve will operate.
Fittings: to install or not?
Often you can find wooden doors with already installed locks, handles and hinges. Is it worth adding an additional operation to the production process for mounting hardware? Everything will depend on the nature of the products. For products of medium and high-end price categories, accessories for wooden doors are mandatory. Its installation is possible only if there is additional equipment for the production of wooden doors:
- Copy machine. Mills openings and grooves in the door for mounting hardware components.
- Assembly table with a set of clamps.
The main amount of expenses will be spent on the purchase of a milling machine. Therefore, it is worth considering in advance whether the production will be equipped with such equipment or not.
