Saydullaev Malik Mingaevich is one of the richest businessmen in Russia and a well-known political figure who once headed the State Council of Chechnya, and today he “supervises” the Chechen diaspora in Moscow.
Saydullaev's childhood
On October 5, 1964, in the small village of Alkhan-Yurt, in the Urus-Martan district of Chechen-Ingushetia, Malik Mingaevich Saydullaev was born. His parents' family was the largest in the entire North Caucasus - sixteen of their children and one adoptive daughter (Russian by nationality) were brought up in it. The girl Lika at an early age remained an orphan, and the large Saidullaevs could not pass by her grief.
Saydullaev Malik grew up in a very friendly and strong family, where everything was built on mutual assistance and respect for each other. Until now, he recalls the precepts of his father, who believed that the man who does not help his neighbor is at enmity with himself. Mingai Saydullaev was a philosopher and poet by nature, and an accountant by profession. He taught children in any situation to maintain dignity, to be proud and to go through life with his head held high.
Malik inherited from his father a craving for creativity and after graduating from school in 1981, he tried to enter the artist-architect at the Tselinograd Construction Institute. Dreams crossed out a failed math exam, but the guy did not give up and decided next year to try his hand again. In the meantime, he worked hard and at the same time worked as an artist at a meat processing plant in Kazakhstan.
But in 1982, Saidullaev’s dreams were not destined to come true. He had a serious car accident and did not have time for exams.
Military service
Then Saydullaev Malik decided to join the army. While many were hiding from the military enlistment office, he came there voluntarily and was sent to Karaganda to chemical troops.
Just before the "demobilization", a young man had a story that positively characterized him. Saydullaev's platoon under the command of Captain Abildin was sent to harvest the onions. During the crossing of the railway, the captain did not notice the train moving on him and was almost cut in half. Only the instant reaction of Malik saved him from certain death. Saydullaev jumped in time and pushed Abildin. True, he still lost his foot and ended up in the hospital. And Saydullaev Malik remained behind the main one. He successfully brought the soldiers to their destination and organized field work.
In 1984, the future millionaire returned with the stars of a sergeant on his shoulders and a whole "bag" of experience. To this day, he considers the army a school that every man must go through.
First steps in business
Almost immediately after the army, Saydullaev married, so he could only study in absentia. He graduated from the Chechen-Ingush University (Faculty of Economics), where for some time he worked as a laboratory assistant.
Meanwhile, the country was changing, new opportunities were opening up, which Malik Saydullaev did not fail to take advantage of. He decided to do business by renting cattle. But the attempt was unsuccessful - the debutant burnt out and was in a deep "minus". Saydullaev leaves for Stavropol, where he works as a shepherd, living in the middle of the steppe in a dugout.
In 1989, quite by accident, Malik met with a student from Moscow German Sterligov, and this event turned out to be crucial. Continuing to carry out business plans, Saidullaev decided two years later to move to the capital, having in his pocket only two thousand rubles and one single acquaintance, who at that time already had a stock exchange called “Alice”.
Milan and Russian Lotto
At first, an ambitious and purposeful young Chechen collaborated with German, opening a branch of his exchange in his homeland, but soon he wanted more. Together with the ex-deputy of the State Duma Artyom Tarasov Saydullaev opened his own company "Milan" and launched his most famous offspring - the television game "Russian Lotto". The first program was released on October 6, 1994 and immediately won the favor of the audience. Saydullaev Malik Mingaevich began to grow rich by leaps and bounds.
Today, having gone through “raids”, racketeering and other difficulties, the business of the former shepherd is a real empire, which, in addition to the “Russian Lotto”, includes a beauty salon, a restaurant, a scientific-technical and scientific-production company, etc. Tens of thousands of Russians are working in this empire, and its owner has about half a billion dollars in his accounts.
Political activity
Being a socially active person and a great patriot, businessman Saidullaev tried to gain a foothold in politics and influence events in Chechnya.
In 1995, he ran for the State Duma of the Russian Federation, but his political strength did not get enough votes. And in 1999, the Chechen People’s Assembly elected Saidullaev as the Chairman of the State Council of Chechnya, and he remained in this position until 2000.
In 2003 and 2004 (after the death of Kadyrov Sr.), Malik Mingaevich put forward his candidacy for the post of President of the Chechen Republic, but both times he “slowed down” at the start. First, the Supreme Court of Chechnya, then the election commission. The reason for this was various bureaucratic obstacles.
Nevertheless, Saidullaev constantly participated in the life of his small homeland, negotiating with the generals, offering rewards for the capture of terrorists, attracting investments in the economy of the republic, etc.
Today, the businessman is an informal "father" of the Chechen diaspora in Moscow.
The views of Malik Saydullaev
Saydullaev Malik Mingaevich considers himself a Russian, but at the same time a patriot of Chechnya. He is very concerned about the fact that many Chechens are forced to live outside the borders of their republic, that they are split politically and religiously. A businessman dreams of reuniting his people.
Saydullaev always opposed terrorism and was an adherent of a rigid vertical of power. He believed and believes that the path to the prosperity of Chechnya lies through the creation of jobs in the republic and the improvement of the investment climate.

Good deeds
In the most difficult times for Chechnya, Malik Saydullaev tried to provide maximum help to his fellow countrymen. In hundreds of tons, he bought food, clothing, household goods, school supplies, medicines, etc.
Since 2000, the businessman has been taking care of the Joy Folk Dance Ensemble; he also supported the children's Chechen school of the Daimokh Cultural Center in Moscow.
Saydullaev Malik: personal life and family
As for many Chechens, for Malik Mingaevich the family is sacred. Unfortunately, Saydullaev’s relatives fell into trouble more than once, and he had to worry a lot about them.
So, the unknown attempted on the life of the brother of a businessman, blowing up a landmine right in front of his car. By a miracle, Magomad Saydullaev then survived.
Another brother and sister of Malik Mingaevich became victims of another crime. They were kidnapped. To rescue relatives, the politician and businessman had to resort to force methods.
And in 2011, Saidullaev himself became the target of criminals. He was shot at in Moscow - he received three bullet wounds.
Therefore, it is not surprising that Malik Mingaevich Saydullaev cares about the safety of the most precious people - his children (son and daughter) live in London with his wife.
The businessman himself, though, apparently, has stopped trying to take any position in power, but continues to actively participate in the public life of Chechnya. His charitable projects are not curtailed, the practice of attracting investments into the economy of the republic continues.
