Headings

Experts talk about the three main types of workers and their burnout.

Today, the words “work” and “burnout” have become almost synonymous. The thing is that now there is huge competition in the labor market. To be in demand and successful, you need to work hard and hard, constantly evolve, learn something new. In the end, this leads to emotional and physical burnout. In psychology, there are three types of workers who are more prone to this condition.

Workaholics

Workaholics are people who are fixated on work and do not see themselves outside it. They consider work a synonym for life and become very restless when they have nothing to do. Workaholics spend every free minute searching for the deepest meanings of life and thinking about their destiny in the Universe.

Workaholics do not understand that they are personalities not only at work, but also outside it. Not realizing that life also exists outside the office, they cannot control mental health. However, it is difficult enough for them. Even when faced with burnout, they do not want to take a break, but continue to work with even greater zeal.

Pleasers

Pleasers are a type of person who has a vital need to please other people. They like when others experience gratitude, appreciation, affection, or even addiction. Nevertheless, the people of the land are not aware of the fact that, despite all efforts, they cannot force people to feel certain emotions towards them. After all, it comes from within, and not under duress.

Thus, in most cases, people-pleasers do not achieve the desired results. Not getting the desired return from others, they do not think about the futility and voidness of their efforts, but think that they have done insufficient. Thus, they begin to work even harder, which is why they face burnout.

Perfectionists

Perfectionists are people who constantly strive to improve themselves. They continue to search for the path to the ideal even when objectively they have no equal. They are fixated on self-improvement not only in personal but also in working aspects. They are fixated on criticizing others. They do not just listen to the comments, but look for them.

As a rule, perfectionists are highly qualified people who easily achieve their goals. This forces them to abuse their abilities to achieve the ideal, in their opinion, parameters. This is the main cause of burnout.

Burnout Prevention Tips

The most important thing in the prevention of professional burnout is a sense of proportion. It is good and even priceless to be focused on work. But you should never forget that you work for life, and not live for work. When leaving the office, forget about your job responsibilities and turn your attention to family or friends.

Try to organize your leisure in such a way that the brightest moments happen to you exactly outside of work. Also, do not forget that each person has some kind of creative principle. Try to find some other ways for self-realization, except for work.
