How did this idea come about?
Nearly fifteen years ago, Elvis & Kresse business founders James Henrit and Chris Wesling visited the London Fire Brigade and learned that more than three tons of hoses are sent to city landfills annually. Disposal of fire hoses is a serious problem, since the material used to create each of them is designed for decades, which means that its decomposition is a long and difficult process.
The team behind the Elvis & Kresse brand wanted to completely eliminate landfill of such materials. Now they are rebuilding and literally reconstructing every damaged or old hose from the London Fire Department.
