Now his company brings $ 3,000 a day, and once he sold sandwiches in the streets: the inspiring story of Chilean businessman Matias Leiva

Sometimes a business starts with planning. Sometimes with despair. That is how the Chilean Matthias Leiva began his business. Realizing that there was not even enough income to pay off debts, the man took to the streets of Santiago to sell his own sandwiches. Today in his company with the eloquent name "Impudence" more than 50 people work.

On October 9, 2015, he had about $ 10 and debts. At the same time, it was necessary to somehow live to see the end of the month, when he expected the receipt of a small amount of money.

With the available money, he bought ham, cheese, flour and yeast. There were only enough products for twelve sandwiches. Burning with shame, he took to the streets of the city to sell them.

Down and Out trouble started

Matthias very soon realized that such a service was in demand. After some time, several more friends worked with him, the business began to develop very quickly. From the first twelve sandwiches, daily sales to date have reached two thousand sandwiches.

Regarding the model of this sales concept that he implemented in his business, Matthias Leiva himself says that only passion and dedication helps to succeed. These are necessary conditions without which any undertaking is doomed to failure.

If a novice businessman possesses these qualities, then sooner or later his efforts are rewarded.

How it works?

Everything is very simple, like the idea itself. In the morning, Matthias and the workers bake bread and prepare sandwiches for the whole day. Their assortment has expanded significantly compared to the starting one.

Closer to dinner, they go to points of sale, which are now more than a dozen. All are located in downtown Santiago. All employees of the company "Insolence" are dressed in an elegant corporate uniform. Sandwich packaging is also recognizable. From those first, the main fillings of which were cheese and ham, only the brand name remained. Now the company offers its customers a wide range of gourmet sandwiches according to their own recipes.

Matthias Leiva is proud that last year he invited his mother to stop working as a nanny. He finally fulfilled his cherished desire: to provide his mother with a calm and comfortable old age.

The business, which began with twelve sandwiches a day, today, in addition to sandwiches, offers customers a variety of cakes at an affordable price: a thousand Chilean pesos. At today's exchange rate, this is about one and a half US dollars.

Future plans

Matthias Leiva says that in any situation you need to look for the best solution. The best answer in any sense. In the emotional, economic, family and labor. You need to sit down, think and find a better way out of the situation.

He claims that the success of his business is far from accidental. This was the only way out of the situation that could be found at that moment.

Another important component of success is continuous progress. A stop in the development of any business is the first step to failure. Therefore, he plans to provide all points of sale with carriages in the form of a carriage. Obtain permission from local authorities to install them and expand the sales network. And make this business international.
