In modern Russia, the number of construction projects is increasing exponentially every month. And that is understandable. The buildings erected in the Soviet Union today are already dilapidated, outdated, both technically and morally. Overhaul is often unprofitable or useless.
Moreover, modern infrastructure requires new solutions in large quantities. Therefore, new construction sites are growing like mushrooms. And the market of private and suburban construction is only increasing every year. On recently uninhabited plots and fields, whole cottage villages are appearing, and with them the market for building materials is growing.
It is with this that the following business idea is connected: mesh production with any cell sizes and the entire range of heights. First, we will cover this business a bit, then we will talk about the necessary equipment, the production process and equipment prices. In conclusion, we give an example of a small payback calculation.
What is this business
This activity compares favorably with another in that it is possible to start production with minimal investment even at home. Yes Yes exactly! If you add to this a very quick payback in the very first month (depending on your skills and hard work), it turns out that this is an ideal business option for both beginners and more experienced entrepreneurs. Moreover, the production process itself is not complicated, requiring specific skills and deep knowledge. All you need is hard work and perseverance. And, of course, a machine for the production of mesh.
This is a very popular product, you can always find a buyer for it. Your trump card is the price. At low cost, this product has good added value, which gives you the opportunity to compete even with large manufacturers. You can expand your business by finding new customers and buying more productive equipment. And you can start with the basics.
Production process
The weaving process itself is simple. A wire is fed through the tensioner to the central shaft of the machine. At the end of this shaft there is a blank with slots, passing through which, the wire is bent at a certain angle and goes to the table, where it is cut with nippers. Everything, the link is ready. The second link is woven in the same way into the previous one, etc. The width of the table is selected according to the height of the roll that you want to receive. As you can see, nothing complicated. All you need is to fill your hand. The width of the cell depends on the step of the slots on the disc.
Mesh Production Equipment
It is of three types. The first is the simplest, not requiring large investments. With it, you can understand the entire production process for further development and expansion. This is a grid production on a manual machine, which occupies less than 1 m² of area. On it, the central shaft must be twisted with a handle.
In addition, you will need a table, the length of which will depend on the height of the grid. On it you will weave the links bent at the desired angle of the wire into a roll. In this case, the only consumable is wire. The disadvantage of this method is its low productivity: from 3-5 rolls per day. At the initial stage, you can sell them through classified sites.
The second type is a semi-automatic machine. Such equipment for the production of mesh implies that the shaft is already spinning by an electric motor, which is controlled by a pedal or button.Links still need to be woven manually. The productivity of such a machine is already an order of magnitude higher: up to 10 rolls a day.
The third type is an automatic machine for mesh production, such as, for example, the ASU-174 machine. The processes of shaft control and weaving of the links, as well as their trimming and bending of the ends, are fully automated. The operator only needs to load the coils with wire on time and carry out general control. Productivity depends on the size of the cell and the height of the grid: an average of 15 to 100 m² per hour and a height of up to two meters.
Cost of equipment
Prices for equipment for the production of mesh start from 12000-14000 rubles for a manual machine. A semiautomatic device will cost about 100,000 rubles. A fully automatic machine will cost around 190,000-230,000 rubles.
Payback calculation
To calculate the payback we take an example of the most expensive automatic machine. As a product, we take a mesh with a cell of 55 mm and a wire with a cross section of 1.6 mm. At a standard height of 1.5 m, the weight of the roll will be about 9.5 kg.
The price per ton of wire will be about 38,000 rubles. Thus, the cost of the roll will be 361 rubles. If you yourself will be an operator, and you have a garage or a shed with an area of 13–20 m², you should add only the cost of electricity and various unforeseen expenses. In terms of rolls, based on the price of 5 rubles. per kWh, the cost of production will be about 390 rubles per roll.
Taking the average price per roll of 590 rubles, the net profit will be 200 rubles. In the production of 22 rolls per shift, the income will be 132,000 rubles per month (22x200x30 = 132000). At the same time, the payback of the machine will occur in just two months. If less expensive machines are used, it will be even faster.
Now you are convinced that this business is uncomplicated, it can be started with minimal investments, and it can quickly be recouped. The decision is yours!
