- checking the driver’s license, documents that confirm the right to own a car, registration documents and coupon of the previous technical inspection;
- then, in accordance with the submitted documents, the brand, type, color, release date, identification code, numbers, trailer, motor, car registration plate are checked;
- the car is checked for design changes that are not indicated in the registration acts. If the inspector finds them, then the use of a car is prohibited;

After 25 days, you can conduct a repeated inspection, which occurs in accordance with the results of the previous one. Technical inspection of a new car

- Cars whose age is less than 3 years (referring to the period from the date of issue, and not sale or the start of use) are exempt from maintenance. For example, if a car was released in 2012, and purchased it only in 2014, then a repeated check of the technical condition must be completed in 2015. Owners of "young" cars are not given a card on the diagnosis. Thanks to changes in the bill, this formality has disappeared, which greatly simplifies the life of motorists.
- Cars aged 3 to 8 years must arrive at the maintenance point at least once in two years.

- The exhaust pipe must not contain air polluting substances.
- Diagnostics of glasses and mirrors. The front windows of the car must transmit light not less than 75%.
Also, drivers can not do without a working fire extinguisher with a volume of at least 2.5 liters.
New inspection rules
In accordance with the new rules, the maintenance procedure has been greatly simplified. The driver needs to pay for a technical inspection. After that, receipts and basic documents should be presented to the employees of the TO station. Next, the car goes to the main technical inspection procedure. In the event that the car meets all the technical requirements, a diagnostic card is issued to the owner. After the reforms, the drivers are given a card about the diagnosis, instead of the usual MOT ticket.
If the technical condition of the car is not perfect, the maintenance employee issues a diagnostic card to the driver, where all the malfunctions are indicated. The card will also indicate the period for their elimination, which is 20 days. After the owner repairs his car, he drives him to the next inspection, for which he must pay at least half the cost in advance. Inspection periods for passenger cars depend on their age. For example, cars under three years old do not pass technical inspection.
