A reliable and strong army is the key to the security of the state and the peace of its citizens. It is not surprising that the authorities are interested in the development and provision of their soldiers. Legislation provides benefits to military personnel and members of their families, as well as decent cash benefits. Such guarantees are regulated by federal laws “On military status ” (N 76), “O military duty and military service ”(N 53).
Material benefits
In addition to the salary, other cash payments and benefits to military personnel are also laid. These are percentage allowances for seniority, special conditions of service (military operations, accommodation in the North), position or sports differences. Contractors receive incentive bonuses for conscientious performance of duties. In addition, the army team is paid annually material aid in the amount of one salary.

The state also provides for medical benefits. Military personnel receive free medical care in hospitals, trips to medical sanatoriums are possible. Each contractor is insured. In case of injury, disability or acquired illness during the service, he receives monetary compensation. Everything else, contract employees are entitled to grocery and clothing allowances.
Housing
Defenders of the homeland are given housing during their service, the size of which depends on the size of the family. In cases where a soldier is forced to live in a rented apartment, the state pays monetary compensation, which is aimed at paying off material costs.
Those who have served in the army for at least 20 years can get housing in the property. You can wait for the delivery of a housing certificate, which is exchanged for housing, or participate in a funded mortgage system. The contractor has the right to take an apartment in installments, which the state pays for the entire duration of the program (20 years). In the event of dismissal from the army, the employee loses the right to own this housing.
Training
The development and intellectual improvement of warriors is welcomed by the state. In this regard, training benefits are provided for contract servicemen. Firstly, defenders of the fatherland can get higher education without suspension from service. Secondly, training is free. Students receive paid study leave annually.
Contractors have the right to enter an educational institution without passing exams in the following cases:
- if available incomplete higher education or military education (university);
- in the presence of a general secondary education (9 classes), it is possible to enroll in secondary vocational education institutions.
Wives
The state did not bypass the wives of the military. In employment, for example, the employment service is obliged to provide them with vacant places in the first place. In cases where the company reduces staff, management should leave the wives of the military at work.
In addition, women are provided with material benefits. Military widows are paid a lump sum survivor benefit and monthly pension.After the death of a military man, his family cannot be evicted from official housing, is not taxed on land and personal vehicles, and has the right to enjoy the benefits and guarantees that they had during the life of the breadwinner. In cases where a man is declared missing, a prisoner of war or a hostage, his wife remains at full security of the state.
For children
Without additional guarantees, children of military personnel do not remain. Benefits even apply to education. So, in the kindergarten, children are first enrolled, whose fathers guard their homeland. Then the crumbs with other benefits. And only after that a general queue is formed. School facilities, as well as children's health camps, are also included in this list. Therefore, there are no military problems with the choice of an educational institution in families.
In the case of the death of the father, each child receives monetary compensation and a pension for the loss of the breadwinner until adulthood, and students - until the end of their studies at the university (in the absence of any other monetary income).
Military retirees
On retirement, defenders of the fatherland remain under the special care of the state. After 20 years of service, contract employees are given additional benefits. Retired military personnel are paid a pension, which depends on the length of service. When renewing the contract, salary is also paid. In addition, the military is provided with housing or the amount intended for the purchase of living space.
Free medical care, a paid trip to the health resort once a year, reduced taxes - guaranteed benefits for military personnel who have served in the army for more than 25 years.
If the contractor lived most of the time in areas equated to the North, then the cash allowance laid down in this case (“polar” or “northern”) is retained for life pension payments. This coefficient remains even in the case of moving to the region more souther and warmer.
