Registration number in the FIU is a numerical code that is assigned to each enterprise or individual entrepreneur. And each business entity has it. It can be used to determine in which region and in which city an enterprise or entrepreneur operates, as well as an individual payer number.
The registration number in the FIU is given automatically based on information received from the tax service. The personal code for an enterprise or an individual FIU determines in less than a week and notifies the management of the organization about this by sending a letter by mail. Basic concepts
Mandatory pension insurance (OPS) policyholders include:
- Persons who make insurance premium payments for individuals (enterprises, individual entrepreneurs).
- Private lawyers and notaries.
- Volunteers who have entered into legal relations with the FIU.

- the first three digits, if you look from left to right, carry information about the code of the subject of the Russian Federation;
- the second three numeric characters are the area or city code;
- the next six are the serial number of the record about the organization or individual entrepreneur in the FIU.
How to find out the PFR number, knowing the TIN number?

- Call the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation. The fund's phone number can be found on its website. The letter must contain information about the organization or individual entrepreneur: legal address, TIN number, KPP, PSRN and other similar information. An extract can be received within five days.
- The necessary statement can also be obtained through the online service. To do this, the request is made in electronic form. It indicates the name of the organization or the name of the individual entrepreneur, email address, telephone number for communication, TIN and PSRN. This service is not free. But the statement can be seen a maximum in half an hour. However, it should be remembered that the extract obtained in this way is not the original. It can not be used in transactions or in obtaining licenses and permits. It just contains information about the organization or individual entrepreneur.
- Personally contact the PF department. You must have a TIN certificate and registration documents with you.
- Create an account on the PFR website. To log in to your personal page, you need a password and an activation code. To obtain such information, you must contact the Pension Fund department and dictate the TIN number. In the "Personal Account" you will find information about the activities of the insured, it also stores data regarding the schedule of payments, payment orders and debts to the FIU.
- You can find out the registration number of the FIU by TIN. In any TIN number, the first four digits indicate the insurer's affiliation to a particular inspectorate of the Federal Tax Service. And by calling the Federal Tax Service, you can find out your PFR registration number, dictating only the TIN number.
How to find out your territorial administration of the FIU?
The official website of the FIU does not provide for technology for determining a branch of a fund based on the organization’s address. But the PF management address to which the policyholder belongs can be found by the PFR registration number.
