Immigration to Germany is popular not only among our compatriots, but even among citizens of the European Union. After all, this country is characterized by a high standard of living and general improvement. If you believe the research, Germany ranks second in the world in the number of so-called "new" immigrants, not much behind the United States. These migrants do not include seasonal workers and foreign students.
Three waves of immigration left Russia alone for Germany (after the October Revolution, after World War II, and after the collapse of the USSR). But the largest diaspora in the country remains Turkish (about three million people). Recently, the rules for new immigrants to Germany have become very tightened. But still there are still opportunities to legally leave to live in Germany. Below we will consider them.
Five gradations of stay of foreigners in Germany
The Germans are punctual people who love accuracy in definitions. Therefore, “Ausweis”, which give a foreigner the right to be in the country, are of five levels. The lowest is a visa. It allows you to stay in Germany, as a rule, only 90 days a half year without the right to employment. Higher gradation - Aufenthaltserlaubnis. It makes it possible to temporarily reside in the country in care. Possession of the EU Blue Card allows highly qualified specialists from outside the European Union to find a job. The status of Niederlassungserlaubnis is, in fact, permanent residence, but only in Germany.
The most prestigious is the degree of Erlaubnis zum Daueraufenthalt-EU, which gives the right to permanent residence with the opportunity to work, travel and return to the country. Immigration to Germany is also possible through the acquisition of refugee status with subsequent adaptation in German society until the acquisition of citizenship. Moving to Germany for permanent or temporary residence of a citizen of a country of the European Union will not encounter any bureaucratic problems.
All legal immigration to Germany
In 2012 alone, more than 400 thousand people arrived in Germany for a period of more than a year. These were mainly Poles and residents of the Baltic states (according to the law on the free movement of citizens within the EU), but also Russians, Ukrainians, Belarusians. Immigration to Germany of this last category of people requires some prerequisites. One of them is Familiennachzug, simply put, family reunion. That is, moving to close relatives who have citizenship, refugee status or permanent residence. But there are many problems with this.
Also suitable methods of immigration are marriage with a citizen / citizen of the country, ethnicity of the Jewish or German people, higher education, business and employment. Obtaining refugee status is only possible with evidence of a valid fear of becoming a victim of reprisals on the basis of national or religious affiliation, political non-violent activity or social status. We now consider these methods in more detail.
German roots
You should not rummage through the roots of the family tree to find a German ancestor who came to Russia during the time of Peter I. Or a Protestant who found refuge from religious repression in the steppes of Ukraine. Only ancestors are quoted in the second tribe. That is, if in the passport or birth certificate of your grandfather or grandmother in the column of nationality is “German”, you have a chance. You must also prove your personal relationship with this person.
If your passport does not have information about nationality, you must provide your birth certificate and your parent's metric.Such immigration to Germany is good because Germans, their spouses and children are immediately granted German citizenship, and their distant relatives - sons-in-law and daughters-in-law, for example, a residence permit (after three years this status changes to permanent residence). Of course, here there are difficulties. You need to be fluent in German, during an interview at the embassy you can be checked for knowledge of the traditions and culture of the people.
Jewish immigration to Germany
The Germans have a huge complex of guilt over the Holocaust during World War II. Therefore, the Bundestag provides Jews with opportunities for emigration to the country. Unlike ethnic Germans, citizenship is not granted, but only permanent residence. The same status is given to the spouse or wife of a Jew. Half-breed children are granted a residence permit (after three years of being in this status, permanent residence is possible).
What is needed in order to submit a package of documents for Jewish immigration to the embassy? Proof of belonging to this people (one of the parents, grandmother, grandfather). Certificate A1 on knowledge of the German language. To calculate your chances of success, test yourself for an “integration forecast”. This is a formula with a maximum score of 125. For you to be allowed to immigrate, you need to score at least 50. Estimated age (optimally - 30 years), education, work experience, family, relatives in Germany, etc.
Business immigration
What if there are no German or Jewish ancestors in the pedigree, but I really want to leave Russia for a prosperous European country? There is also such an option as business immigration to Germany from Russia. If you are not lucky with your nationality, but you are successful in financial affairs, try investing in your future. To do this, you must provide the German Embassy with a detailed business plan of a realizable and very successful business. Or show the possibility of exporting goods worth at least one million euros per year.
In this version of immigration, knowledge of German is not necessary, although it is welcome. You can only work at your own company. A residence permit is granted for the first three years, and then - subject to successful business - permanent residence. The option of direct investment in the economy of Germany (from 350 thousand euros) is also possible.
Marriage or Marriage
After immigration to Germany from Ukraine and Russia on the basis of fictitious marriages reached its climax, embassies began to be very meticulous and suspicious of such applicants. It is desirable that the difference between the ages of the spouses is not significant. There are no specific requirements for exactly where the marriage should be concluded. This may be Germany or the registry office in the homeland of the second spouse. Although the first option is preferable. Also, the nationality of the spouse living in Germany is not important. He (or she) may even be Russians, Ukrainians, etc. by origin.
Also, the spouse's citizenship is not required. It is enough that he (or she) reside legally in Germany. The only exception is being in refugee status. It should be remembered that applicants need to prove their fluency in German (Form A1). They are first given a residence permit. After three years of marriage (and at least two years of continuous residence in Germany), they can apply for permanent residence, and then - for German citizenship (subject to renunciation of the former).
Study
If you have sufficient funds, you can invest them in the future of your child. Find him a private school in Germany. A prerequisite is the age of the child - at least fifteen years old. He must be fluent in either German or English. Only for him, and not for parents, immigration to Germany is possible.
The reviews claim, however, that studying and obtaining a German diploma gives a young person the opportunity to enter the local university and later change his residence permit status to permanent residence.Higher education in Germany is also possible, although high school diplomas in Russia are not considered equivalent to German. On the personal account of such an applicant should be a sum of several thousand euros - an indicator of student financial self-sufficiency. Since 2005, foreign students have the right to earn extra money.
Legal employment
There are immigration programs to Germany to attract highly qualified specialists. The country needs doctors, scientists, computer specialists, people in creative professions. The only restriction here is age - up to 55 years.
