Equipment for the production of clay bricks. Production technology

Brick is a building material that has all the necessary qualities that satisfy the needs of any buyer. The modern construction market is ready to offer a huge amount of this product. The current production is characterized by a variety of forms and quality.

Bricks that withstand maximum temperatures and loads, which can be used in the construction of special structures, are only modest representatives of products of their kind. In addition to all the positive aspects, there is one point that can scare off a potential buyer, make him postpone the purchase of the presented product at a later date and ultimately turn to less quality material. Such an additional factor when purchasing a brick is the price.

To avoid this negative point and fully realize your ideas for building a house, it is worth considering the issue of establishing your own brick production. This will not only save a significant part of the money, but also indicate the necessary direction in organizing your own business. Indeed, the demand for brick products is growing every year, which will undoubtedly allow such a business to grow and expand. Let's talk about equipment for the production of clay bricks and other technological wisdom.

What is included in the equipment

The biggest misconception in the matter of independent brick production is the idea of the need for large-sized and high-tech equipment. In fact, this process does not even require the use of large volumes of electricity, as well as the constant availability of water and a sewage system.

A place for setting up its production can serve as a garage, basements and even small areas of its construction site, which are in the open. Minimum requirements for equipment and physical costs, as well as low cost of raw materials will significantly affect the cost of the material obtained.

Equipment for the production of clay bricks includes the following components:

  • mixer for mixing and preparing clay mass;
  • a device for cutting a strip obtained after mixing clay;
  • a device for cutting bricks from the obtained strips;
  • an oven for burning the billets obtained;
  • Dryer;
  • means of transportation of bricks (carts).

Clay is the main raw material: we check quality

In the manufacture of bricks, as in any other direction, an important factor is the quality of the source material, i.e. raw materials. In this case, it is clay, which is easy to find on your site, adjacent lands or nearby quarries.

The quality of clay can be determined in several ways, one of which is the process of soaking it in water until the liquid is completely absorbed. Upon reaching a homogeneous test-like state, it is necessary to make several figures from the obtained substance, and then leave them for drying for 2-3 days.

After drying such a material, it is necessary to pay attention to the state of its surface. The presence of cracks indicates high clay content and the need to add sand to the clay solution. The absence of external flaws and the ability to hold the shape after physical exposure indicates the optimal composition of the material and its readiness for the production of future bricks.

Brick Technology

According to the technology for producing finished bricks, it is worth highlighting two main areas:

  • with firing;
  • without firing (raw brick).

To obtain a raw brick, it is necessary to carefully consider the questions of clay preparation and methods of drying it.

To begin with, clay is soaked in water for a period of 3 to 4 days. Then it is necessary to remove stones and other large-sized objects from it, if necessary add sand and other binding components.

The manufacture of molds in this process is a mandatory part of it. The dimensions of such products should be 25x12x6.5 cm. This size is standard and will provide the finished products with the most convenient use. To increase the speed of the process, it is better to manufacture several forms and consider the presence of a removable cover, which will allow to control the production process and facilitate the extraction of finished products. The design of the molds should prevent moisture from entering the clay and various mechanical influences, which will significantly reduce the rejection of finished products.

Before filling the molds with clay, it is necessary to moisten their walls with water and lightly sprinkle with cement dust. Such a simple technique will facilitate the extraction of future bricks. It is necessary to ensure that the clay fills all the voids of the form.

This technology for the production of clay bricks does not provide for special drying of bricks. In this case, the brick dries naturally. The only thing to be ruled out is exposure to direct sunlight and excessive moisture. Awnings and dry rooms will make the process most effective.

The resulting brick is not waterproof, therefore, when using it, it is necessary to take care of its further protection and strengthen the structures built from it. Additional knitting elements during the bricklaying process will perfectly cope with this task. As you can see, equipment for the production of clay bricks in this way is a fairly simple task.

When using other methods, the process of preparing clay and using the resulting mass is generally similar to the production of raw brick.

Raw materials are crushed and mixed with additives, regulating its fat content and strength of the future finished product. After thoroughly mixing the starting material, the resulting mixture is moistened and once again subjected to a mixing process.

After the solution is delivered to the belt press to improve its quality and strength, it can be additionally subjected to vacuum treatment to reduce microvoids and excessive moisture. The resulting strip is cut into equal parts and dried.

Drying can last several days, so equipment for the production of clay bricks provides for a special furnace. It can be made independently or purchased in retail. As an option for firing, you can equip an iron barrel, which can be installed on your site. Finished products are stored and delivered to the place of work or distribution.

Ceramic brick making machine

The least simple and low-cost way is the installation of a mini-factory based on the use of a manual machine. The clay brick making machine has small dimensions, there is no need to use water and electricity, which makes such production practically inexpensive.

The principle of operation of such a machine is based on manual mechanical action on the product lever. As a result of pressing and activating the unit, automatic production of 2-3 units of products occurs. The resulting brick has 2 holes, which facilitates its weight and reduces the use of raw materials. Preparation of the initial mixture lies on the shoulders of each manufacturer. To improve its quality, low grade cement can be added.
