A VET engineer of category III can be a person with a higher technical education without any work experience or with secondary technical education and a three-year experience in VET technics of category I, advanced training by at least one level during five years of work, and a professional certificate.
A Category II VET engineer must have a higher technical education, three years of professional experience, at least one qualification upgrade over five years, and a professional certificate.
Similar requirements are made for a VET engineer of the I (highest) category, but the need for a three-year experience of a VET engineer of the II category is also added to them. A leading VET engineer, carrying out management of junior employees and other engineers of the department, of course, must have deep and modern technical knowledge and sufficient professional experience.
Types of higher technical education
Productive work is impossible in the production and technical department without quality education. A VET engineer can specialize in the following areas:
