Request from citizens of the Russian Federation
In order to receive a certificate of no criminal record (or its availability), it is necessary to prepare a certain package of documents, without which the application will not be accepted. For adult citizens of Russia, the following list exists:

The issuance of a certificate of no criminal record for foreign citizens who are in Russia is based on the following documents:
- the passport of this citizen or another document that can prove his identity, according to the agreement between the countries, and copies of all completed pages;
- citizen statement.
Also, stateless persons who can present the following list of documents can receive the necessary certificate:
- a statement from a person who has contacted the center;
- a residence permit or a residence permit, or another document that, according to an international agreement, is recognized as an identity document, as well as copies of all completed pages.
Request from organization
When applying for work in bodies carrying out activities to which persons who have a current criminal record or have already been extinguished, as well as persons who have been criminally prosecuted or under investigation, need a certificate from the information center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
In these cases, the employer can independently make a request and receive information in paper form regarding one or more persons on the basis of the following documents:
- a list of persons who need to be checked properly;
- certified by this body, which orders certificates, the consent of all these citizens to the processing of personal information;
- extracts from the order or other document that confirms the hiring of these persons.
Information for the applicant in this case is sent, with confidentiality, to the department authorized to consider and accept such documents.
Refusal of Extradition

- Using an electronic signature - you need to contact the certification center and get a universal electronic key or card.

- By mail, ordering delivery of the letter on the site. The term for receiving a registered letter is about 14 days. After that, the code must be entered in the identity confirmation window.

MFC
Help can be taken in a simpler way. Starting April 30, 2015, multifunctional centers (MFCs) provide this service on the same grounds and for the same terms as the information centers. The list of documents is no different from the above cases. In the event that it becomes difficult to fill out any application form, the MFC employees provide a paid service (up to 100 rubles) for computer-based filling of the application using the data contained in the documents brought.
Validity period
The Order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia on the administrative regulation for issuing certificates of November 7, 2011 No. 1121 clearly indicates the terms of service and the occurring force majeure circumstances, due to which the terms can be extended.However, the document does not mention how long the certificate of criminal record does not apply.
